Klaiber
I agree. It's a great cover.
Vonrd
An entry for Music Poker: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPkM8F0sjSw Of the time and still appropriate today (maybe even especially appropriate today). Lipfert
Vonrd
Fixed it. You had the youtube.com part right. But because the URLs had a time stamp in them, they weren't working. The forum doesn't like time stamps for youtube vids. If it says =0s at the end, that's telling it to start at 0 seconds. Which it doesn't like. And if it says ...watch... in the middle of the URL, that's another indicator that it won't work. When you get back from your vacation and when you have the time, maybe you could do a before and after of a Youtube example. I tried editing the URL but no joy. Klaiber
The one above thinks its a URL link. That's why it's not working. The easiest thing to do is go into edit mode, hit the "light switch" on the left hand side (to see the raw BBCode). When you do that, you can see the URL tags. [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPkM8F0sjSw]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPkM8F0sjSw[/url] Just delete the: [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPkM8F0sjSw] and the [/url] Leaving the raw youtube url. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPkM8F0sjSw And it should work. Barton
So there’s a back story to my relationship to this song and the short version is it was in a motocross video I used to watch as a kid when a I rode dirt bikes. The tune stuck with me but I never remembered the name of the song or band. The other day it came on the radio and it’s been in the back of my head for at least 3 or 4 days with no signs of going away. At least there are worse songs to be stuck on. Vonrd
I counter with a bunch of Finns doing...Finn things. A guy plays the spoons, and another guy plays an anvil. This has been posted before but, nonetheless super enjoyable. I counter with: Getting this to work is such a PITA... I'm a caveman and give up. J5_Gamecock
HA! Sorry Davjack but but it just doesn't compare. I mean, hell, even I could clang an anvil. (but I have seen Steve~N~Seagulls before,Good stuff!) This guy is playin' a shovel with 3 strings! Best I could do with that is lay out a garden... a very small garden. In this video, he's playing an ironing board steel guitar, I've also seen him with a cigar box guitar, oil can... all kinds of crazy guitars. I bet if you gave this guy a roasting pan, broomstick, duct tape and a box of rubber bands he'd have your party rockin' in no time!! J5_Gamecock
After your second post I decided to actually check out this guys channel. Very good stuff. I've always been a fan of the old school blues with a slide. At first I thought it quite a gimmick, but the guy is fantastic. Delta blues, Blues rock... even a little rock-a-billy, he does it well. Has a couple of albums on Amazon if you care to check him out.

Britchot
Sometimes you have to paste as plain text to get rid of the hyperlink. Also, use this guide to change from a small url to the full on: https://www.google.com/amp/s/m.wikihow.com/Change-a-Shortened-YouTube-URL-into-a-Regular-URL%3Famp%3D1 I went back a few posts and fixed the links but a few that were truncated gave me issues. Razwald
This is crazy how well it actually works for this song. Those who know the song may appreciate it more. However it would make a great ambient soundtrack. For those who know it feel free to skip around. Klaiber
Klaiber
That is really good slowed down.
Razwald
Out of curiosity I slowed down the original by half. The vibrato sounded too jerky or ratchety. Which made me think about it. The time between each pitch change for the vibrato is so great at 800X slower it becomes a gradual swell.
