jim
In the need for speed which is the higher provider of such? The number of cores in a processor or the Ghz? For instance, a comparison; MSI P67A-C43 B3 Intel P67 Motherboard Bundle MSI P67A-C43 B3 Intel P67 Motherboard and Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz Quad-Core Unlocked CPU and Patriot Viper II 4096MB PC12800 DDR3 Dual Channel and Seagate Barracuda 1TB Low Power Hard Driv Bundle or AMD Phenom II 1055T Six Core Processor - Qty: 1 Manufacturer: AMD CPU Type: Desktop Processor Interface: Socket AM3 Processor Class: Phenom II Processor Speed: 1055T / 2.80GHz Cores: Six L2 Cache: 3MB L3 Cache: 6MB Bus Speed: 2000MHz (4000 MT/s) Fan: Included Wattage: 125W Unlocked Multiplier: No Instruction Set: The intel processor has only 2 cores as opposed to the AMD's 6, but the intel has 3.30 GHz of speed while the AMD has only 2.80 GHz. And the intel is overclock capable. One good thing about having to save my allowance for this next machine is that by the time I'm able to lay down the cash the higher end hardware will be down to a reachable price. Krupinski
Try this site for comparing processors: http://www.cpubenchmark.net/ which has the i5-2500 ranked higher than the 1055. asdasdasd
