Well I guess they have to recoup the monies somehow (apparently by selling rides) but that second canopy really ruins the lines of one of the most beautiful air-frames ever designed.

Reminds me of the Collings Foundation's TP-51C. Sure it looks goofy but it would be awesome to go for a flight in one. Racking up the hours to be allowed the privlege to fly one solo is far out of most people's price range. Although $2.2k is already a little steep for me.
