At the crack of dawn, Kessler was sent to the flight line for a special test flight. Per suggestion from Anthony Fokker... He was to fly the Fokker DVIIF. After Delivering the new Dr1. Anthony warned Kessler that the Dridecker was becoming an obsolete machine in the aircraft race. It had a special paint job to it. it was an Angry Goat version of the Fairy Tale "the seven Swabians". Test flight was adequate for the most part. Kessler was quoted by saying "she flies like a tractor until she gets to altitude!" Unfortunately a serious accident occurred upon landing. witnesses said it looked like Kessler might've hit a ditch. causing the aircraft to violently ground loop and ultimately causing the destruction of the left wings, prop, and landing gear. Kessler was reported to have said that the real reason for the incident occurring was "Being so use to a rotary engine and a blip switch, I must've been traveling to fast on final approach. I cut the engine off early to compensate... but it was to late to recover." Kessler was sent to the medic tent for minor injuries making him unelidable for sunday's sortie. but should be back in the air tomorrow. as for the DVIIF... it was hauled back to the maintenance hanger and will go through a very extensive rebuild. Sgt. Kessler added that the aircraft will be his last alternative for IF his rotary engines ever fail him

    FIF Paint Scheme submission rules

The following area is for the submission of IL-2 Sturmovik: Flying Circus paint schemes, for use within the Flanders In Flames tournament. No one is required to download any paint schemes to participate in a Flanders In Flames event. However, the use of personal or squadron paint schemes can greatly help with in-air identification and overall esprit de corps. As a result, their use is encouraged. When submitting a paint scheme for inclusion within FIF, please remember our tournament rules: Additionally, @Klaiber will be updating this section regularly, ensuring that only the most recent skins are represented. All outdated skin submissions will be archived and removed. For virtual squadrons, please have only one individual post for everyone within your group. If you wish to have squadron or personal paint schemes visible to all participants of the event, please post your skins using the following format: Current date / version of skin(s): Name of virtual squadron and/or individual: Name of author (required) : [ link to virtual squadron page (optional) ] [ link to paint schemes (required) ]

This is for IL2 The Voice Attack profile has a few useful features and some are "meh." I have a Salute command for open chat. I used VA as a keystroke utility to assign to buttons for zoom on the VR mod. I have a kneeboard function for bringing up the kneeboard in IL2. Also there is a command for next page and previous page. I haven't used them in awhile so if the key bindings changed my apologies. I have a command for toggle/feather engine 1/2. It will feather the proper engine then reselect the good one. Toggle is there just in case I need it. The flare commands will select the flare. Shoot it then reholster your weapon. 2 issues with it. 1st is minor. After reholstering your flare gun give it a second to shoot another. Sometimes it gets confused and wont fire a flare. 2nd problem is you will need to remap the keys. The original keys are left control 1,2,3 for the colors. Problem is VA doesn't seem to hit LftCtrl+1 at the same time. That means if you are in a multi engine aircraft it will select engine 1 on you before the flare color. Red Flare is now 4 Green Flare is now 5 White Flare is now 6 Holster weapon in now Left Control+7 IL2 Battle of Stalingrad-Profile.vap

For what it's worth, I had a couple ideas... First, you could replace the majority of the white with red, and keep perhaps a white tail...something like this (roughly): Second, as Luft suggested, you could drop the white in favour of the default camo, and keep some variation of Black / white tail, like this: I quite like the look of No. 2 as it was quite historical for J4, J10 and J11's Alb D.Va pilots to have a 'unique' tail to identify themselves (one pilot had a white tail, one had a blue tail, etc)

The FIF 2019 "Fall Campaign" has officially come to an end! 20 years ago, in October 1999, Flanders In Flames was run for the first time, under the leadership of two JG1 pilots: Ernst von Leep and Paul Lowengrin. Since the earliest missions in Red Baron 3D, on through Rise of Flight, the goal of the Flanders In Flames Online War has always been to provide the WW1 simming community with the best possible scenario-based campaign technologically possible. As we transitions into IL-2 Sturmovik: Flying Circus - Volume I, I sincerely hope that we've come close to that objective. I look forward to spending many more years of FIF with all of you! The Flanders In Flames 2019 Fall Campaign has officially ended in a stalemate, with both the Blue Team and the Red Team winning a phase of play. We had some technical snafus along the way, which caused a lot of problems. But all in all, I think the event was extremely successful. It's a fitting send off to Rise of Flight. This Fall Campaign stalemate ensures that the entire year-long event also ends in a a draw, as the Blue Team won the Winter Campaign and the Red Team won the Spring Campaign! Again, very fitting considering the anniversaries we celebrate. As I've always said, both teams should be incredibly proud of their accomplishments. Watching you all compete through Twitch and Youtube videos has been extremely exhilarating. And everyone who flew did an outstanding job. Let us lift our glasses filled with our favorite libations and toast our virtual opponents. Prost! Salut! To celebrate the conclusion of the Fall Campaign, here is the FIF campaign ribbon. Large version: Small version: And as always, thank you to every pilot who flew! Without your continued support, this tournament would not be able to function! The scores for Session B4 are shown below. . . . Note: due to mass disconnects, Sessions B1 and B2 were scrubbed. Phase B is officially concluding with Session B4. During this session, the Blue Team was on the Entente Side. The Red Team was on the Central Side. . . .
