Listened to this one the other day on the radio and it made me feelgood😄. It´s an italian cover version of a 80´s song of a german new wave band called "Trio" :

    Application - Rookie

Welcome to the Squadron "Rookie" - I also own the Viggen and alhough I can read Swedish pretty well (I am Norwegian), I have never been able to master it....I own most of the DCS modules except the Mil Mi8 and F-86 Sabre - never could wrap my head around the A-10C...I learned to start it up...but as far as Mavericks and LGBs are concerned - "I havent got a clue"... These days I mostly fly the F-16C (an old favourite of mine) and the FA-18C (which I never really liked, but it has grown on me...). Look forward to making circles in the virtual sky with you Sir!!!

    Trip down memory lane

While searching the ROF forum looking to find early FIF posts, I came across this which is where I first flew with JG1... https://riseofflight.com/forum/topic/37743-open-jg1-dogfights-mondays-9pm-edt-all-welcome/

Thought I could attach our latest (and hopefully final) floor plan. This has to be approved by the county and the HOA. This takes up to 3 months 😬

Amazing the difference between areas. The thing is if you're in an area like Vonrd's, you can relocate to an area like ours and be WAY ahead. The reverse is impossible. So if wages allow in those expensive areas, eventually you're better off, just when you need to be. @Klaiber, you really do absolutely live in that lanai and pool area. The entire lanai and pool deck will be screen enclosed....they all are here. No insects or debris falling into the pool! 😄

Our house (2 BD 2 bath, 1940s Craftsman with a very narrow garage and showing its age) ... $1,103,520 ... but we love the Bay area and no plans to sell at this time (though it's really tempting... my wife bought it for about $80 K in 2002).

At one time I was hoping for a separate office area (i.e. "man cave"?) but honestly the extra cost for a plan like that was just too much for us both in terms of money and in terms of space on our lot. So we're going with a standard 3 bedroom 2 bath, nothing extra, of somewhat over 1,700 sq ft. (living space) that also includes the important stuff (lanai and pool!) and forget the extra room. I'll use one of the guest bedrooms for that instead, and what we'll end up with is the "master suite" and one of the guest bedrooms will open onto the pool / lanai area, and hope we don't have need for more than that. I don't know what most of you guys are used to, but for that here is $350,000.00 if you don't go over budget, and honestly that's more than $100,000.00 more than we got for our old place which had a full finished basement besides. That's just the way it is, and you can't do much about it, and I get that it's far worse in other parts of the country. I'll be very happy if we can actually get through it all without any tremendous economic road blocks that could take place within the next year. A year is a long time to keep one's fingers crossed!! A guy I work with and I were just talking about that song today. We talked about the Crossroads Festival 2010 version. Winwood got brought up due to the fact that Spencer Davis passed away yesterday. So here is a different song from the same concert.

Glad you're liking it so far! She's a hairy beast, but once you tame her flying becomes an incredibly addictive experience. If I were to choose just one DCS module to use for the rest of my flight sim career then this would be it. p.s. Nice camo.

I woke up to eerie orange skies and it just barely got light enough to read a newspaper outside around noon. This is the view by Lake Merrit close to my house. The word that kept popping in my mind... "Armageddon"... which in my usual twisted way of association made me think of this classic urban legend... which lifted my spirits.... "ARMAGEDDON!" 😈 tT
