Aviation Art?

Curious if any of you gents have any aviation artwork hanging on the walls? I confess I'm a sucker for stuff like this, if I bought every piece I went "ooohhhh" and "aaaaahhhh" at I'd probably need a second mortgage and a small section of the national gallery gallery to hang them in . I've got one relatively "cheap" print from the folks at Aces High in Buckinghamshire (next to RAF Halton where I used to live), they had a signing event and I managed to get lots of former RAF chaps from WWII service (BoB and onwards) to sign the print for me so it's a bit special. I imagine most, if4 points -
Sure, I’ll share what I’ve got up. I do have one Fw-190 from II./JG1 with a fragment down for repair and another from Pearl Harbor (The Last Torpedo) that needs a new frame. Sorry for the glare, the sun finally came out today. Here’s one from my dad’s collection. I’m expecting a larger one with a poem he wrote. And lastly, pixel art from the airframes I’ve flown for the Army.4 points

How funny.... I just came home from Hobby Lobby... I had an old version of "Assi" Hahn's airplane re-framed. I got it at Love field back in the 70's when I was just a private pilot as they had an aviation art gallery there in the terminal. I think that it is still there, I have not been over there in years. I have been collecting "Robert Taylor" prints for over 30 years and I own almost all of his works involving the Bf-109, about 16 prints so far. You can see "Abbeville Boys" over the mantle. I only have a couple on the walls because this house was painted by a moron... a MAROON wall...4 points

JG1 is proud to present the Tanks In Flames Online War! For those unfamiliar with JG1’s “in Flames” events, these homegrown online tournaments have a long history within the virtual combat sim community. Flanders In Flames (FIF), our WW1 event, was started in October 1999 and is currently run in Rise of Flight and Flying Circus. Tanks In Flames (TIF) is a combined arms tournament for the IL-2 Great Battles series. At its core is the desire to create a realistic campaign experience. Emphasis is placed on creating historically-inspired dogfights, tank battles, and matchups. Coordin4 points

Again some great missions at finnish virtual loose deuce together with @Greif, @=GenMarkof007=, @loopy, @Wittmann and @Vonrd. Also @Dudley was active in parallel but driving a tank 1st impression are from attacking a station, where Gen flew the 110 and all others took FW-190, most with the A6 modification with 3x250kg (what is nice and accurate load out btw). We were pretty seccussfull and on our way home we even shot down 2 U-2s after Dudley reported them (but I no recording of that action) 2nd group of pics is of the last mission, where Vonrd and me flew Ju-52 in a paradrop missi4 points

Sadly I have none. "She who must be obeyed" has the cornered the market on our available wall space. She has a penchant for Rocco & Neoclassicism works. She & I have decidedly different tastes in decor. This is my idea of an ideal living room. This is hers Lets just say our house looks allot more like her idea than mine3 points -

Finally got it. When I updated Windows for some reason I couldn't get the internet through my router. I could get through with a hotspot off my phone, so I knew it wasn't the computer. But I forgot what I set my router info to and had to do a factory reset and reconfigure everything. After that I got internet but ran into this connection issue with IL-2. Considering I could log into the game I figured it wasn't a computer firewall issue (after pretty much eliminating it as a variable in every way possible) so I went into the router and disabled the firewall there. Ta-DAAA! Boom, I'm in.2 points

LOL! I think our wives must be sisters!! I had the exact same convo with my wife with similar results. I did get my dog but ended up with 2 cats as well.2 points

Rocco Siffredi approves of this message. Ah, the art of compromise in marriage. "Wife wanted a cat, I wanted a dog, so we compromised and now we have two cats".2 points

S! All Ready to start Phase B. Plane set has been updated. A minor change from the original set. The S-22 has been dropped and replaced by the HP-400. Blue team is Central and Red team is Entente. Please remember that NO weapons mods are allowed. Plane mods such as wing cut outs are allowed. Many thanks to 1PL-Husar_1Esk for the suggestion that changing the forest distance from "Maximum" to "Very Far" to eliminate the forest from flashing in and out.2 points -
Very interesting vid on a controlled detonation of a 1000 kg WW2 bomb in Exeter (GB): Drone footage shows WW2-era bomb being detonated in Exeter, England - YouTube ...allthough I definitely don't would like to be in any of the buildings around seen in the video, I find it nevertheless interesting that based pure on optical impression none of the buildings that stand even in the 1st row next to the explosion show any signifikant damage. So for me this confirms the arguments out of several other threads on that topic, that a 1000 kg bomb does not have a very big impact as it woul1 point

@Hess, thanks for recording our sortie and posting the video on YT, very enjoyable to watch it back! @Hess and @Heinrich, FYI, the boxes that I strafed in my last attack and that apparently was the last item of the depot were the boxes on the left of Hess's REVI sight ar 21:50, which I shot coming from the East. At 24:43 the technochat mentions that I destroyed the hangar so either the boxes were part of the hangar object or the my rounds that hit the hangar behind the boxes were the straw that broke the hangar's back. It does look like (cannon) rounds do damage structures and can1 point

Update: The HP 400 is an air spawn at 3000 m. Maximum fuel load is 20%. More fuel than that and the plane is unstable. The Gotha is an air spawn at 3000 m. Maximum fuel load is 30%. More fuel than that and the plane is unstable.1 point

connection help
HotleadColdfeet reacted to Barton for a topic
Upgraded to Windows 10 after years of begrudgingly giving Microsoft the middle finger about their forced update nonsense so long ago. Now IL-2 Sturmovik won't connect to multiplayer servers. Every time I select one and try to connect, regardless of which one it is, it just freezes until it times out and kicks me back to the title screen with a "Cannot connect to server" error. I tried removing the firewall and a few other things and nothing has solved the issue. I even reinstalled the game. Nothing. Any suggestions? Searching the il-2 forums has brought up nothing.0 points -
