    Got this in my email:

    April 17th, 2020

Dear fighter pilots, partners and friends,

The global spread of COVID-19 is affecting every single one of us. We are a people-first company, and we believe that technology can change lives and give hope. To study the virus, protect the vulnerable and beat this thing requires that we all play a part. We want to update you about what we’re doing.
Last month we gave the opportunity for all to try and test our products for a two day period at a time. This was well received and a total of over 200 thousand modules and trials were downloaded during this free event.
In view of last months response, we are pleased to announce our upcoming Free For All event, starting April 19th, where you are welcome to try any and all our products (except campaigns) for free and without limitation for one month. This unlimited access to all our suite of products, including our top fighter jets, such as the F-16C, F/A-18C and A-10C Warthog will help take your mind off things for a while, giving you the opportunity to try something new, and to own it for 50% or less than the normal price.*
We know that this is a small contribution to your personal lives but we hope that you will take full advantage of the offer and help the time fly by. In addition to this, we will be donating 10% of our net turnover generated during the event to Children First, a foundation that we have become very involved with for the past few years. This organisation supports the work of an amazing Dr Stefano Scaringella, a Capucin Priest and surgeon who has dedicated the past 40 years of his life to saving children and to promoting health in Madagascar, one of the poorest nations in the world. Please check this out, they too are hit badly and need all the help in the world: www.childrenfirst.fund
Thank you for your passion and support and stay safe.

    Yours sincerely,

Ok, ran a self-test over the weekend and developed a list of non-working or flawed items.  I have all but one fixed (I hope).  While repairing another item, I found another small item, I had set the tanks for the Fallschirm base at unlimited (oops).  I now have the AI ground units set with a different trigger for grnd and air units.  Air units will spawn the AI at 6 km, while grnd units will spawn them at 3 km (hopefully it will keep the number of active units down to manageable numbers).  Also found several German triggers that were triggering on German units.  Airfield and tank base repair vehicles have been changed to Opeltankwagons and GZ-55s.  Would have LOVED to put ambulances at the field hospitals but there are no statics of these as of yet 😡 .  Also discovered RRR cannot be preset at fractions, then copied and pasted anymore, gotta set them at 0+ then copy/paste, then go back and reset the fractions.  The moving front with 4 battlezones is giving me a headache.  I have attempted to make this work a dozen times now, maybe I'm overthinking it, but, the last attempt pissed me off, and in a fit of anger, I hit the delete key, not realizing that I had the whole frontal system selected, and deleted the whole thing, there went hours of hair-pulling and work.  I would like to attempt a test run for tomorrow, 4/14.

After FIF tomorrow, I would like to test the WWII tourney, EIF (Europe in Flames).  Most of the pieces I have verified as working, so I want to load up a server with pilots and see what happens to the mission.
    Things to test
    1.  At mission start each side has a "Destroy enemy building" icons located at intersections of 4 sectors (ie: 2204, 2205, 2304, 2305).  This indicates a target is located somewhere within 1 of those four sectors.  The side only needs to fly near one of the targets, then they get a message "Enemy target has been found", and the old icon disappears, and the true target icon appears.  These need to be verified as working.
    2. I need suicide, err, I mean dare-devil pilots, to attack an airfield.  Each airfield has fuel depots, ammo depots, and a HQ base (almost ALWAYS located off base, near a nearby city).  If you kill all the fuel depots at an airbase, the enemy pilots can no longer refuel at that base.  Killing the ammo depots stops rearming, and killing the HQ no longer allows the pilot to heal their wounds.
    3. The player ground war elements need to be tested as well.

The 1975 Formula One season was the 29th season of FIA Formula One motor racing. It featured the 1975 World Championship of F1 Driversand the 1975 International Cup for F1 Manufacturers, whichwere contested concurrently from 12 January to 5 October over fourteen races. The season also included three non-championship Formula One races and a nine race South African Formula One Championship.
After a strong finish to the 1974 season, many observers felt the Brabham team were favorites to win the 1975 title. The year started well, with an emotional first win for Carlos Pace at the Interlagos circuit in his native São Paulo. However, over the season, tire wear frequently slowed the cars, and the initial promise was not maintained.
Niki Lauda often refers to 1975 as "the unbelievable year". In his second year with Ferrari, the team provided him with the Ferrari 312T – a car that was technically far superior to any of the competition. He won his first world title with five wins and a huge margin over second place in the championship.
American Mark Donohue died in August, two days after a practice run crash for the Austrian Grand Prix. After the season in late November, an Embassy Hill airplane crashed in England and all six aboard were killed, including team owner Graham Hill and driver Tony Brise.

Hess reacted to Vonrd in 2K vs 4K and Multiple skins
We have been discussing 2K vs 4K skins.
I had originally decided to do all skins in 2K. 2K size is approximately 1/4 the size of 4K. My reasoning is that I can't tell much (if any) difference between the two at regular view distance in the game... even when fully zoomed in. As the amount of skins increases, I was afraid that the folders would get very large. My current game skin folder is about 23 GB (with several other squads skins included).
I would like to hear what others think.

In that vein... we are thinking of restricting a maximum of two individual skins per pilot per plane. Again... thoughts?

Was also really cool that Gen noticed the number. I actually officially fly No. 0, but 24 is my "other other SPAD"

Hess reacted to DeFreest Larner in The 3rd Pursuit Group Skins are HERE!
    Greetings, all!

I'm very happy to announce that the 3rd Pursuit Group USAS' Squadron Skin-Pack is now complete! As we are a historical unit, our skin-pack contains both our personal 'fictional' designs, as well as 33 Historical SPAD 13.C1s of the 28th, 93rd, 103rd and 213th Aero Squadrons!

Our historical Skins are named in the following style: (SQUADRON, Pilot Name)
Our fictional Skins are named in the following style: (z 3PG Pilot Name)

Here is the download for the full pack (49 Skins): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SAKMzynXb9haTXaIO7KxUNfdmDxlyHXi/view?usp=sharing

ABOUT THE 3rd PURSUIT GROUP SKIN PACK:

As we are a unit that likes to emulate the history of the AEF as closely as possible, meticulous research went into the creation of the 3rd P.G. Skin-Pack! Everything from historical images, to original USAS records, to historical references was used to try and re-create the SPADs of the 3rd Pursuit Group USAS as authentically as possible!

We determined the historical Factory Finishes, Camouflage Colours and Roundel Colours by using Cross & Cockade's fantastic study of French Camo Schemes, a three-part study named the 'Butterfly Project'. This went into extensive detail about the colours of the paints, camouflage variants of each manufacturer, and even the materials used to create the finish! We used this study alongside historical images to land at (what we believe is) the most accurate historical representation of the SPAD XIII's colour scheme.

This is done to the smallest detail - not only including the different factory patterns for each SPAD, but also the individual manufacturer's markings for each Serial Batch. For example, a SPAD with the serial number 7550 may have different markings on the rudder to a SPAD marked 7650, despite both being built by the Kellner Factory!

    UNIT MARKINGS & INSIGNIA:

Each unit's insignia was painstakingly recreated from historical examples, and brought to 4K standard. In the case of the 103rd, our original Squadron, SPADs will even bear uniquely-painted Sioux insignia, as no two Squadron insignia were ever painted exactly the same - a fact we've sought to recreate with our own pack! Using resources such as Gorrell's History of the A.E.F, we have been able to match up serial numbers and fuselage numbers to the correct historical pilots. Through further research, we have been able to determine the correct factory camouflage patterns for these planes.

    ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

We have designed our skin-pack to be as authentic as possible, right down to the smallest detail. As the SPAD manufacturers hand-painted their Roundels, we have done the same! A closer look at the roundels will reveal some uneven edges. Some of our machines also display patched-up bullet holes, marked with small Iron Crosses - a historical practice of the USAS' pilots. As well as the roundels, many of our SPADs' numbers have also been "Hand-Painted" to add to the authentic look.

    FICTIONAL SKINS:

In addition to the historical skins, we have included some of our own Fictional designs. Keeping with our historical approach, our Skins are all subject to historical standards, and so will fit right in with their historical counterparts! Every design seen on a fictional aircraft of the 3rd Pursuit Group is based on historical research and reference.
