Blackpoint Cyber is actively monitoring malicious Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) Studio being delivered through paid sponsored links. The use of sponsored links to distribute malware is another iteration in the continual attempts to compromise devices. The security community is discussing the most recent distribution of fake OBS software as a means of infecting victims, and we wanted to share some details that we have not seen published yet. 
 
The initial stage of the installation will use cURL to obtain country, IP, and city details from IPiNfo.io as three separate communications. Once this is acquired, the information is sent to a telegrams chat using a hard coded API account.

From there, it will systematically use the registry keys to disable core functionality, such as Windows Defender, and uninstall Malware Bytes. To ensure persistence, it will create a scheduled task: schtasks.exe /create /xml "C:\Users [username]\AppData\Roaming\obs-studio\bin\64bit\ar.xml 
 
How to Mitigate: 
Ensure you are accessing websites directly. Advertisements and affiliate links may lead to malicious websites.  Only download software from legitimate websites and sources.  If a paid software is being offered for free or at a discounted price, there is a higher chance it’s malicious.  Important: Blackpoint’s SOC has seen indicators of compromise in our partners’ environments.

My only reference is Pitts S2B, but the visibility over the nose looks pretty similar (except for having to wipe the oil off from the rockers spewing... 😆). Stall looked similar as long as you keep the ball centered. Max speed dive... well, Pitts has it all over the Alb. I found it interesting to look at how slack the wing landing wires are in flight.

Salute guys! Black September is coming up this weekend! As commander for the German Forces, I am in the final stages of drafting a strategy, so if we have any JG1 pilots who think they can make it, please vote for the German side in this poll here. That will ensure you have the proper permissions to view the briefing I'll be posting in Flugpark Discord's Blue Team channel. Or, if you can't vote in the poll there, just let me know below what your Discord name on the Flugpark channel is, and I'll manually add you to the Blue Team role.

Salute guys! Jasta 5 is running their annual Black September campaign starting September 10th. I’m honored to be the Commander for the German forces and would love to have as many JG1 pilots join me as I can. 😊 Currently, only Vonrd and I are registered. There will be three missions, taking place on Saturday the 10th, the 17th, and the 24th. The mission starts at 1800 UTC and runs for 2 hours. The mission is deceptively simple: three ground attack points will be contested by ground forces during the missions. The winner of each session is the one who controls the most of the three ground attack points at the end of the session.
