I think RAZBAM was hoping for leverage over ED in their contract dispute, which is why RAZBAM aired the dirty laundry in public.
If the consumers (us) got angry enough at ED on RAZBAM's behalf, we could collectively apply the pressure needed to finalize things in RAZBAM's favor.
But of course, once you bring stuff to the court of public opinion, it gets hard to control the narrative.  Just head to Reddit or more open forums to see how out of control the discussions have gotten in the last few days.
As a result, RAZBAM has already posted messages on their Discord trying to reign the message back.

As I've mentioned to @Britchot and @Karl Spackler (Trev), trying not to escalate after taking the nuclear option is kind of like screaming "won't someone think of the children!" while simultaneously throwing them on the freeway.

Playing these types of disputes out in the court of public opinion can end up doing irreparable harm to both companies.

Has anyone had this before? With my HPG2 when I would start DCS it wouldn’t align right which caused left and right eyes to be out of focus. VR centering wouldn’t fix it and one time the diff between headset and laptop display was 90 degrees off which was very sickening while in vr. I finally had to undo some changes I had made previously and put the vr on and remain fixed and still while starting DCS which seemed to help. 

That was an anthem from my youth!

Signed up for central, would have no problem to fly Entente as well if needed for balance... => is there any channel where it's possible to place such additional infos?

I just saw this video I found quite interesting regarding what's upcoming for IL2.
Some interesting things they mentioned:
Karelia map to be added Odessa map to be added Ta-152 plane Yak-3 plane New graphics (I hope performance will keep up) New damage model ... and new trees (finally! 😄)  
 

After setting things up in DCS with advise from @Mouce and @Flyboy on Wednesday I was pretty happy with the spotting but didn't like the oversaturation, especially in the cockpit. The radar screen in the MiG-21 was way too saturated red to where I couldn't see the lines / pips. After messing around for a couple hours tonight I wound up with this FrankenHell. I'm going back to my original settings until I can overcome my aggravation.
With all the talk of "Advanced" AI like chatgpt, I hope that it will evolve to the point of me just saying...
"Siri, adjust settings for best long range spotting" or "Siri, give me best close-in identification" or "Siri, give me best graphics and spotting be damned" OK, rant concluded. 

I know that's why I put the emoticon at the end. My initial remark was to express that in general Bubblegum is a good pilot, one you want to have with, not against you. Not claiming Bubblegum for Allied.
Agree there should be some balance. Not exactly though, as the Allies have the far less superior aircraft, in performance, fire power and load out. 
It should feel right for all parties that they have a fair chance to win or have fun loosing.

We were flying with a pilot Bubblegum on the WW server and he may be intrested in flying on ACME.

I am part of the JG1 EU group flying IL2 (based in Austria), nice to see another euro-based pilot interested joining us 🙂
Some Infos on your questions ahead :
- We are a group of 4 JG1 pilots flying frequently (meaning several times a week) together, and having one non-JG1-Friend that flys with us many times.
- I would say we have a preference for flying german side if situation on a map allows a free choice, but we do also fly allied side, e.g. because of balancing reasons or because the mission requires so. For your info: We fly many times on the wing walkers server, where nearly all of the missions are designed that way, that all human players fly on same side against AI. So here ~50% of the missions offer no other option than to fly certain allied planes. We like that server very much, simply because it forces you to fly also planes you normally would not choose....
- Our regular training sessions are Monday and Thursday evenings after 2000 GMT... I have kids too and our standard good night procedures hardly allow me to take off before 2100 CET or even 2200 CET... 😉
but there is allways the option that you find other interested pilots also on other days. For allignments and general coms we have a WhatsApp Group and a Discord Group

The second post (by @k98_zock_tv47) in the comments section in Youtube pretty much sums up my feelings. Paraphrased:
"Anyway, nowadays the game becomes a dogfight simulator only. There are only few servers which are playable and to be honest - they are not that good either. Nor Finnish is realistic and certainly not the warm up server called Wings of Liberty. You want to play exclusivly only on Rheinmald / Normandy ? Go than for Combat Box. You want P38 Lightnings over Stalingrad and a ground target cluster with tank garages? Go than for Finnish. You want to never fly with your buddies together? Play on TAW, if you get a seat there. On which server, beside on TAW (all 2-3 months if you are lucky and the crew did not just split up) can you fly during night - at cloud overcast of 400m during a snow storm? Nowhere, right? Flying the old prop planes is more than just a sunny safari without clouds. Its more than dogfighting. Ground attackers and bombers did not got big love - not from the devs, not from the server creators. There are no events, not a dedicated very good server from the developers, in fact - they should care with such a MP server for the community." DCS suffers from this in WWII and Cold War also and the minimum amounts of WWII and Redfor Cold War planes is also stifling robust multiplayer. 
For IL2, the fact that the Devs haven't been posting regular news isn't such a big deal for me. I'm okay to wait until there is concrete news. There have been regular patches with new content.
I have no idea how affected SP is on the whole but SP people are also complaining on the forums.
The decline in players may also be due to the fact that both games are well past middle age at this point.

Enigma makes good points about the two Mission Editors. We have several people in JG1 who can make missions for DCS (in various levels of complexities according to skill levels / experience) but currently only one in IL2 due to it's super steep learning curve.
