I'm so relieved, I was worried I was going to be out of action until at least Febuary next year because they're simply sold out everywhere I look. That and it would have been darn pricey to replace it. Just went for a short flight in the Harrier and had a good time :).

Win 10 is a resource and data collecting sponge!  Had horrible input lag on my stick.(old school run a clean boot)
If you choose you cant cut a lot of unneeded bloat. And maybe even find Zupper power! (hidden power setting)
Did about 90% of this with great results.
Will see how long the changes hold.

    Kameraden,
I'll be moving to this product, retiring my original Oculus. Better performance is one reason, but the relationship between Facebook and Oculus has always been a big negative for me. I'll feel better now not having my Facebook account linked, in fact I can delete the thing now.

Lipfert reacted to Klaiber in Official JG1 Skins
    All,
As apart of on our ongoing Paint Pack Revision Project, we are posting new Bf 109 skins, created by @Vonrd for use by Stab/JG 1 and II./JG 1.
All active pilots within Stab and II. Gruppe have been included:
https://jg1.org/oesau/roster/#stab https://jg1.org/oesau/roster/#ii-gruppe All Bf 109 variants are included in this pack, with the clear exception of the Bf 109G-6 Late.
The Bf 109G-6 Late was released as this pack was being compiled.  It will be added in an update.
Please note that all new Bf 109 skins within this paint pack should replace all previous Bf 109 skins found in past paint packs.
New skins can always be identified through their v_!_JG1_[aircraft folder]_[pilot name].dds naming format.
Past skins do not have to be removed, should you choose to keep them.  However, we will be weening ourselves off them as new skins are released.  The Fw 190 and the Bf 110 are being worked on now by @Heinrich and Vonrd.
Some key features of these Bf 109 skins:
All Bf 109 skins are 2K, and include an alpha layer. RLM colors were followed as much as possible. 3 to 5 distinct camouflage patterns were created for each Bf 109 variant, ensuring that no two skins look identical. All Stab and II./JG 1 pilots who had personal emblems have had those markings added to the port side of their aircraft. Command personnel have been given extra permissions with regards to markings.  A serious attempt was made to restrict people to historical-like designs. Note that Commanders will generally have white tails. Adjutants and Gruppe officers will generally have white rudders. Pilots will generally have a yellow under-cowlings and a yellow triangle on their tail. There are no swastikas on any Bf 109 skin, nor are there "fastikas" (fake swastikas). There are also no markings that would violate our Dicta (code of conduct document). There are no theatre markings present on any Bf 109 skin.  JG 1 is emulating a Western Front daylight fighter unit. Finally, Defense of the Reich bands (red), and the Oesau emblem are used on all aircraft post November 1943. Should anyone have any questions, let me know!

My Alienware Aurora R4 875W power supply should arrive via Fedex on Wednesday, hopefully Customs does not slow it down. Sourced it from Texas with a 6 month warranty for $70.
Don't feel bad at all about it, now I can build the new system over time.

You must run Discord as Administrator, if not when you start IL-2 the "Push to Talk" stops working. You can do that by right clicking on the program icon, going to properties>compatibility and check the radio button, then Apply.

My favorite poem from the First World War, posted in remembrance for Veterans Day / Armistice Day:
    http://www.greatwar.co.uk/poems/ewart-alan-mackintosh-in-memoriam.htm
In Memoriam, by Ewart Alan Mackintosh (killed in action 21st November 1917 aged 24)
    So you were David’s father,
And he was your only son,
And the new-cut peats are rotting
And the work is left undone,
Because of an old man weeping,
Just an old man in pain,
    For David, his son David,
    That will not come again.
Oh, the letters he wrote you,
And I can see them still,
Not a word of the fighting,
But just the sheep on the hill
And how you should get the crops in
    Ere the year get stormier,
And the Bosches have got his body,
    And I was his officer.
    You were only David’s father,
    But I had fifty sons
When we went up in the evening
Under the arch of the guns,
And we came back at twilight -
O God! I heard them call
To me for help and pity
That could not help at all.
Oh, never will I forget you,
    My men that trusted me,
More my sons than your fathers’,
    For they could only see
    The little helpless babies
And the young men in their pride.
They could not see you dying,
And hold you while you died.
    Happy and young and gallant,
    They saw their first-born go,
But not the strong limbs broken
And the beautiful men brought low,
    The piteous writhing bodies,
They screamed “Don’t leave me, sir”,
For they were only your fathers
    But I was your officer.
    . . .
On the evening of 16th May, 1916 Lieutenant Ewart Alan Mackintosh and Second Lieutenant Mackay of the 5th Battalion Seaforth Highlanders led a raid on the German trenches in the sector of the front line north-west of Arras.
By the end of the night there were sixteen British casualties, which included fourteen wounded and two killed. One of the two dead soldiers was Private David Sutherland.
Private David Sutherland has no known grave. His name is commemorated in Bay 8 of the Arras Memorial to the Missing at Faubourg d'Amiens military cemetery in Arras.

Moxy, can we please get more and especially more effective AA on the airfields? With the airfields so close to the front and no AA (it pufs and that's it) vulching is an easy option for suppressing the enemy, but what is worse it takes away the fun (I guess not just for me). The sides are not always evenly covered with pilots and when even the base is not save what is the use for being in the game? Also it leads to a fighter against fighter scenario while the fun in TaS is to support directly the tanks and do some fighting above the front.
If AA draws to much on the server maybe you can add a rule that forbids enemy a/c within X kms/miles from the airfield like they do in Combat Box.
