As you can probably tell, I've gone on a bit of a naval aircraft binge over the past few weeks. I found another gem today. Here's the great Steve Hinton piloting an F4U-1 Corsair with in-flight commentary. 
 

Thanks to YouTube suggestions I was able to find this excellent channel. These Fleet Air Arm veterans are a pleasure to listen to.

The other day I found this absolute gem of a series on the A6M Zero. The uploader helpfully added hardcoded subtitles to every episode.

That F9F is on my model bench right now. I went past Addison airport a month or so ago and darn if they didn't this thing in the collection. I think there is another one nearby or this is the same one repainted. 

Nice! Osprey's been on a home run of late, their latest releases are all excellent. I'm impressed by the quality of the colour prints. Picked up this one a few weeks ago, it's an excellent read.

I was surprised that the wing has no fabric over the plywood skin at all and that the colors are wood stains with marine varnish final coats. The woodgrain shows through and that is modeled in the FC skins. Looks like they got it right (but maybe should actually be more glossy).
Good info on the lozenge fabric as well.
Really nice oxy/acetylene welds too (what I cut my welding teeth on).
