What about the ones I left in your head? 😅
(While shaking with laughter, notices strange rattling sounds in own head) 😁

IRFC Hawkeye got a reaction from Snaggle in graphic upgrade?
The field of view would be greater, assuming the game could support that aspect ratio. From what I've seen it seems to support whatever your native resolution is in Windows and Nvidia Control Panel. However I have noticed certain "fish-eye" effects that vary while turning your head. For instance, a plane may look a certain distance away, but as you rotate your view, it may appear to be closer or farther away, depending on which way you move.

I used 32" TV for years also. Get what you have space for, and what is appropriate for how far away your eyes are from the screen. I went the "gaming monitor" route a while back, and even though it does have higher refresh rate performance and higher resolution than what I had, how that translates into real world visibility and quality of what I see is honestly not the improvement I had hoped for over that 32" TV.
"What fits" for me is really pushing it, for a 43" TV, for me. But, since the outer frame size had decreased to almost zero, my next upgrade is going to "go back" to that, and screw the frame rates. I've come to believe that the overall size is the most important factor, bar all others.

Any and every world-wide organization should do that. 👍

Everything is bigger, so distant things are easier to see.
Of course that is dependent on the type you buy. OLED would be best, but the last time I looked, nobody makes that technology in any size 43" or smaller. It is probably less necessary in those smaller sizes since smaller screens inherently look better than larger ones. QLED would be about as good as you're going to find in that size range. If you get less than 43", you probably won't even be able to find that. Standard LED will be cheaper and by far most common, and should look very good, especially if you get a decent brand like a Samsung or Sony. Max refresh rate will almost certainly be limited to 60 Hz, even though some advertise 120 or even 240....with those they use a proprietary term exclusive to their brand, and those basically just mean the it "looks like" or "seems like" higher refresh rates....but it isn't. So don't get fooled by that.

What is your Timezone? US Eastern Do you have a joystick or HOTAS? Hotas Do you have TeamSpeak installed, as well as a working microphone? Yes Do you have TrackIR, or a FreeTrack system for view control? TIR What sims are you currently flying? FC , ROF How did you hear about JG1? Flew with JG1 in FIF . Is there anything else that you'd like us to know? 58yr old. Have done flight sims off and on since Kesmai's Air Warrior in the early 90s. Have flown Warbirds and HiTech Creations Aces High in their development days and IL2-1946 about 5 years ago. Discovered ROF on Steam a couple months ago after a five year hiatus, and found FC through ROF. Pretty much interested in WWI only, although if IL2 ever gets a Pacific theater I'll be there too. Jaus

IRFC Hawkeye got a reaction from J5_Hotlead in FC New Skins Submission Thread [DISCUSSIONS]
Couldn't resist posting these pics, even though they may not be the final version. SOMEBODY is getting a new SPAD:
For the forward fuselage I used a hyperbolic curve and created a graphic file that I hope will be used again on his other planes, if possible.
Hotlead is totally responsible for the design, other than the wheels and the wing sunray.
I have to say, I'm jealous 😁

Outstanding job, all! Special shout-out to Greif for outstanding wingmanship, excellent job, a pleasure to fly with you! 👍
Can't figure out how I snuck in there, though 🤷♂️ 😉

IRFC Hawkeye reacted to Butzzell in FiF Winter 2020
S! All
First big CONGRATZ to Blue team on a stunning phase A victory.
For phase B we start with Blue team Central and Red team as Entente,
One minor change .... maybe. I have a new practice map. Looks the same but I adjusted the hit points on trucks. Famous last words..... you should be able to kill trucks with machine guns. I am afraid it is going to take a while to get things working as expected.

IRFC Hawkeye got a reaction from Archibald in Unable to link accounts
I think something similar may have happened to me, due to something I probably did a long time ago. I think way back then I may have registered my tag in the brand new IL2 (forums or whatever) that took place after the original IL2; that might have happened even before RoF came about.
All I know is that when I tried to register much later, it would tell me that my email (or even password) was already in use. I was like, really? Somebody is using my exact same email and/or password? Then I realized that it had to be me, but that their stupid system could not differentiate between that and what happened 5 years ago; in essence, "JG1_Luftritter" was already taken. So I couldn't create an account using the name that I wanted to.
In any case, I had to play around with exactly how the squadron was named, together with my pilot name; and there are rules, like you can't have a "leading underscore" in your pilot name....which basically made it impossible to to use the simple "JG1" as my squadron.
In the end, I think I used that then-acceptable "II./" as my squadron, and the "JG1_Luftritter" as my pilot name; where as in RoF, my name was all one "JG1_LuftritterJ4", denoting my squadron, as per the current squadron rules on the WWI side.
However now, the limitations of the all-encompassing game do not really accommodate both WWII and WWI separation of names; and so the standard that we are using because of that is simply the squadron with pilot name, in order to take into account everything.
So, even though that this would not allow me to use a name that is simply "Luftritter", "LuftritterJ4", or "_Luftritter", it would allow me to register with a BLANK squadron field, and a pilot name of "JG1_Luftritter", which I could not do in RoF, because there were too many characters.
So apparently you have to play their stupid game, rather than hoping that they'll someday recognize your own old credentials as your own.
