AngryGoat
Downloaded Tyne historical skin packs(except for about 4 of them wouldn't load). When I went to download the fictional, I got a message saying access denied. Anyone run into this issue before? I'll try again tomorrow. Also Klai started taking about personalized markings but didn't get to deep into it because we were signing off for the night. I wouldn't mind knowing the process I have to go through to start painting myself. Salute Ernst Kessler
Kliegmann
Because the game isn't really supported anymore, painting up skins for ROF is a waste of time. When Flying Circus comes out, if they base it on the same setup as BoX, which is what is suppose to be, then you can paint up some skins for that game. In regards to you having issues with the skin packs, I'm not really sure, unless the download for those packs was corrupted. Have you tried re-downloading them? Britchot
I found if I downloaded more than two at a time I would get a corrupted download. As far as access denied, I did not have such an issue.

I think we'll be flying Rise of Flight for awhile, it's still the Gold Standard. I only really want my squad mates to see my skins anyway so they know who I am, could care less about anybody else. So skin away. Flying Circus is planned, but just vapourware right now. S!
Vonrd
You still can't see the skins unless we're flying in Mods Off mode.

Vonrd, So if we have skins coordinated amongest ourselves, we'll not see them? Only if released in an official pack? S!
Kliegmann
Vonrd, So if we have skins coordinated amongest ourselves, we'll not see them? Only if released in an official pack? S! That is correct. Unless mods are turned on, no one else can see any skins you have created, hence the reason why its a waste of time doing so
Klaiber
Hi Goat, If you have problems with any of the skin packs for ROF (historical or fictional), you'll have to re-download them. That should fix it. Of course, if any of the packs give you continued problems, just let us know. I have all of them, and can link them to you. Regarding, skins for ROF, you can always start thinking about what you'd want. But as mentioned above, ROF is eventually going to give way to Flying Circus, so there is minimal support for the game at the moment. Butzzell
S! The skin packs for RoF are rather large, about 1.5 gig each. The community fictional is where JG1 has personal skins. I do not have a specific JG1 skin pack download. The personal skins allow us to identify each other very easily and quickly. If you want to make your own skins and put them in the appropriate file, you will see them in game. I am not sure but if you distribute them to other players, they too could see your skin. Creating skins now will be good practice for Flying circus. It will also give you a chance to test your ideas and see how they look.
