Found this thread today that enables a persistent scratchpad, works for VR.

Now, you can go to the F10 map or listen to JTAC, jot down a note, then go back to the INS to enter data.. Voice Attack can also narrate to the object, from what I see (post 50).

Finally installed this, should come in handy.  Will be testing it tonight with Klai in the Harrier. 

Watching your stream, it seemed to work really well!

Definitely helps, a little clunky at first but I’ll just create a voice command or a new keybind. 

I definitely recommend it! 

Quick clip of me using the scratchpad for the second time in DCS in VR.  It’s quite simple and effective! 

To get the location to stop updating in the F10 map, I had to position the scratchpad just below the location and drag my cursor down onto the scratchpad.  This caused the cursor to stop updating the coordinates and I could type into the overlay.  

 

WWI navigation:

"I'm south of the horse shoe shaped lake"

"I'm over the blind ghost heading east"

etc.

Klai sounded a lot like that the other night. 5-star river to 3-star river, etc.

You can take the Klaiber out of WW1, but you can't take the WW1 out of the Klaiber.

I will have to give that a try.
