Japanese unit re-labelled unknown and Russian?

I'm running a customised new guinea 42 campaign in 4.12.2m with CUP (BAT WAW selected), added new unit and assigned an aircraft in the Squadron Editor, the Unit is listed as IJA_F_S_9z00, and when the mission is generated, the game thinks that unit is Allied but 'unknown' and the markings are Russian!

is there a problem with 4.12.2m and IJA_F_S_9z or is the problem with DCG?

For the record it is not a problem if I choose IJA_F_C_50z instead
