Wow that document is great! I admit I have not used il2 since 4.01 so I am bouncing around between using DGen, DGen_Mod and DCG which is driving me nuts..........

Ok so it is a DCG.exe coded feature, il2 editor spawn point is only for multiplayer? The DCG one is nice as it lets you use island maps easier for both sides. Is there any online tutorials on DCG, I searched and the best I found was by Scharnhorst1943 at http://allaircraftsimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=126&t=1770&start=30

I am using dcg 3.48 and il2 4.12 the spitfireV's and Hawk75's work in il2 but the DCG .dcg doesn't have them. Probably fixed in 3.49 but just thought i'd say they were'nt in 3.48 just in case

I am trying to understand how DCG Campaign settings do air starts when no player airfield on map eg.Rabaul for the New Guinea and Guadacanal maps. Original il2 doesn't(?) seem to allow this as the player always needs an airfield/carrier (can't pickup starting base) in campaigns. I also can't see any spawn point when i look at the .mis in mission map editor?

Some il2 planes Spitfire5* and H_75A* were not in 3.48, I get a hard lock up if i edit them into .mis files, il2 freezes in mission generation with error "not integer value"? all runs fine if i use planes in the allpaints.dcg allpayloads.dcg

thanks it worked I don't know how I missed finding squadids.dcg file.

I am using 3.48 and il2_4.12. Playing the JAAF New Guinea works but....... the squadron editor page shows that the P38's are German and based at the Japanese base at Buna When the mission starts they are instantly shot down on the ground by Buna AAA. How can I change the nation and base? I can't find which txt to edit and (Squadron editor won't do it either).
