  1. Yea, I think the important feature would be to see the DCG defined routes for a given campaign. Basically in DCG, specific routes are set and if the user knew the routes, the could fly along the routes to look for targets of opportunity. I was thinking that this "map" view would actually be a new panel inside dcg as compared to seeing it in-game. Thus, inside DCG, the user would see a new panel available which would display the game map and an overlay of all routes tied to a given campaign along with perhaps a color coding to distinguish route type. Would be great to have for SA, especially if user likes "free hunting" during a mission.
  2. I fly Ghost Skies which I believe is based upon DCG as the mission generator for the online battle server. I believe additionally crew in this squad are quite actively involved in GS both as participants and technical advisers and developers. I key feature of GS is the War Map. The War map is a "snapshot" of the ground scenario based on results from the previous mission. It details friendly column positions and planned destination for next mission along with territory occupied/contested by allied/axis forces. Basically, its a view of the battle map following a given mission based on the results of that mission. For DCG, is it possible to add this type of feature as a new DCG UI panel? Basically the new panel would display the map for the given campaign, highlighted routes based upon the campaign design, associated territories connected by routes and their respective status, and location/destination of friendly ground columns/positions. The new panel would be updated per mission based upon data from the event log tied to ground activity and basically use the same info DCG currently uses to track campaign progress. Addition would be a "visual representation" for the player to see the battlefield in planning for the next mission. Note, perhaps even an initial effort for the new panel would be the map display and route lines. This would give the player an idea where ground/shipping traffic may be located when scouting areas during mission. All in all, for offline mission planning, it would be quite a nice feature! ~S~ wind
  3. With v3.47 underway for eventual prod release, are plans underway to update the documentation associated with the innerworkings of DCG? I have this excellent document: DCG CAMPAIGN INFORMATION (v3.21) (Compiled by Tailspin) However, it now seems somewhat dated, though still quite useful. All in all, wanted to check in if a revised 3.47 version of this doc or something similar may be on the horizon? wind
  4. Hello Lowengrin, I have updated the Libya 41 DCG campaign to run in DBW. I wanted to check in regarding permission to release this updated DCG campaign on the SAS DBW Campaigns thread for users to enjoy this campaign. Note, I did add a RAF component to the campaign, as the original was intended for IT. Full credit will be included in the initial post and also the original campaign graphic will be included both in the post as well as in the DCG app for the active campaign. Runs great on DBW and with the visual and functional enhancements, its quite an awesome DCG experience to fly in! thx, wind
  5. I actually figured it out myself. Basically, its the squadron id. Simply ensure that the squad ids for the country of choice is set in the .mis file(s) associated with the custom campaign. In the case of the Korea campaign I updated, I simply changed from IJN squads to Korean and Chinese squads based upon their entries found by using FMB. Of course, a modded "Forgotten Countries" mod is necessary to include those countries. All in all, it worked! wind
  6. I am working on a DBW update for Lonestar's excellent Korea 50-53 DCG campaign. I have corrected the loadout changes for DBW and now have the campaign working; however, one final step is to display correct nationality markings for blue aircraft. Currently, the display Japanese markings rather than North Korean. How/where do I update the DCG campaign file set to correctly display North Korean markings for blue? thx, wind
  7. Note, with this method where if I die, I close the mission and use the DCG app to Generate Mission, will all activity which occurred during the mission I died in count for ongoing outcome of the campaign? Basically, if my flight hits an airfield hard with multiple static plane and other ground objects destroyed, will these efforts affect the newly generated mission with that field being suppressed? Yea, as noted, it would be great if upon death or capture in a DCG campaign, the Apply button could continue to be made available and all results from the death mission would apply to any and all new missions moving forward. Though, of course if the DCG Generate Mission does this (records/applies death mission results to next/ongoing campaign), then we are golden?!
