  1. Thanks Sniperton. I'm going to do just that. Option B as you note means modifying the skins to have French markings and then turning markings off so they are not 'overwritten' When I'm done I'll happily post the notepad entries for the aircraft and vehicles if they are useful to others. regards and thanks Wol
  2. Dear Snipperton/Lo I have them here : fr01 Groupement de Bombardement 31 GBI31 Groupement de Bombardement I/31 GBI32 Groupement de Bombardement I/32 GCBI18 Escadrille Saharienne 588 NN Esquadrilla Normandie-Niemen Without a lot of fiddling with skins and markings there are only thus 2x4=8 French squadsids using NN and fr01. So I am happy to tabulate country codes too or other hack work. I am most grateful all these years for DCG, It has made our co-op campaigns come alive. regards
  3. Dear Lo, The new campaign is mostly creating fine. Just a bit of weird behaviour. I have imported three french bombers into DCG and modified the allpayloads, payloads, and class files appropriately. Also added three new squads to squadids. They function fine except, as you might notice from below, DCG thinks that all the french squadids except fr010 are German, and shows them as such in the dcg squadron management pane. The master mission shows them correctly. And the class file has them as code '1' (part extract: Leo_451 Liore et Olivier 451 fr 1 2 0 193909 194612 none Leo-451 Even more weird, when generating a mission it correctly assigns them (flying from hostile airfield fortunately undefended at this stage!) missions in support of Red (French) forces as normal red aircraft and they fly in the correct french skins. At the end of the mission, when you re-open dcg, they are appearing again as German units (not Italian even like the Cr42 squads) assigned to Blue airfields! The dcg editor does not seem to know who the squadid belongs too and calls it "German" until it actually generates the mission? Is it because they start with "G"? One more unrelated weird thing. I have imported some new Italian armour into the relevant files and they work fine, but, sheepishly, DCG thinks they are all airbases [3-L3_CV35 2] , (chiefs 8-11 below) I assume because of the letters CV35! 4. Outstanding. Thanks I had my BBB mixed up with the CCC. A mistake I am sure I have made in the past sigh! test mission now generated. Really Thanks both
  5. G'd Lo Can you tell me what DCG is failing on in the below log? [2013/11/05 22:18:54.315] Campaign Start Button Clicked. [2013/11/05 22:18:54.616] Target Locations processed. I believe that the next normally successful line in the log is "Checking Stationary List" Edit: I'm guessing it cannot find the map ? maybe? to place stationary items or something? In which case this is how that looks like from the mater mission file: [MAIN] MAP mrz_Centmed/GW_centmed_load.ini I have a Maps entry and allcampaigns entry as Axis is set to South. Here is the entry in the all.ini file: **Mediterranean**20_Maps 20_Maps/load.ini Algeria_Tunisia_Sicily Algeria_Tunisia_Sicily/load.ini CentralMed(mrz) mrz_Centmed/mrz_centmed_load.ini CentralMed(GW) mrz_Centmed/GW_centmed_load.ini IF I'm right, what should the bits be in the Mamps and allcampaigns section. I have tried several variations. regards Wol
  6. Thankyou both. I have not got the Libia41 campaign. I will take a look. I have just finished the rds and rls files and was starting pretty much from scratch. I hope to update my Nomonhan campaign as well since some of the missing aircraft are in the Stock game now too. Anyway I understand that I will need to add any new objects to DCG by modifying the relevant files (gobjects, all payloads etc etc). I am happy to give that a whirl and see how it goes. I cannot help it, the release of the MB152 and Potez540, as well as the AI only LeO451 are just too tempting! As a 'feature' request (relevant to this discussion) could you (Lo) make supply columns user-defineable? That way it might actually simplify coding since you only need 5 or 6, can use any vehicle column, and this could even possibly be matched to an fobjects style user definable spawn type for those columns which spawn something. regards and thanks for the help, its been a while.
  7. Dear Sniperton, Outstanding. I wish I could access those old posts! I think I may have kept some but not many. You tend to act as thought the material on the web will always be there for later :-( I once got part way through updating Tailspin's guide and foolishly gave it up. Now DCG is so great (in all respects) even Lo can't remember what is in it! regards Wol
  8. Dear Lo, I cannot remember if this is needed and what it does in the timetable commands list Can you remind me please? regards Wol
  9. G'day Lo. I am building a new French/Italian Tunisia campaign for 1940. I have my well thumbed copy of Tailspin's Guide and the newer Lonestar's guide. But a lot of the old detail on the old Jg1 has been lost so I'm a bit unsure on a few things. If there is an up to date guide or manual it would be great if you could point me in the right direction: I take it the Italian Columns will work for supply (except 'C'): 10_Chief Vehicles.ItalyCarsColumnA 2 11_Chief Vehicles.ItalyCarsColumnB 2 12_Chief Vehicles.ItalyCarsColumnB 2 13_Chief Vehicles.ItalyCarsColumnC 2 The French don't seem to have any. Can I 'define' a vehicle column in some way to do this job or do I need to use another - say British column? What will spawn for the Italians from their supply columns? I recall there was an fobjects file to overwrite the default spawn items, but I cannot remember how it worked and whether you could tie them to particular columns (might be a great feature!). I recall their were some river crossing or amphibious non-beachead mechanism, but cannot seem to find them regards Wol
  10. G'day all. Will DCG 3.47 or 3.48 work with HSFX 7? regards
  11. Thanks Sniperton. In the end I just added it directly to the columns file at a location in the rear. The timetable command would have been fine too. regards Wol
  12. This is through the ground war panel in the 43 Kuban campaign. Do I have to add them instead by editing either the master folder or columns text files? regards
  13. G'day all. Just checking it is still necessary to manually add "_ru" at the end of the properties files to enable them to show in the description fields inside the full mission builder if you want to edit them after generation. They show up fine in game. regards Wol
