I was saddened by the crash & loss of life of the B-17G "Nine o nine" in 2019. As a vintage aircraft enthusiast who is so thankfull to have fulfilled a lifetime dream of flying 3 times in that B-17 & once in the Collins B-24 "Witchcraft" I thank the Collins Foundation for that opportunity. Even though they had a long safety record, these are vintage aircraft & I and I'm sure most who paid to have the privilege knew there was always some risk involved in these flights. Despite the tragedy in 2019, the educational & historical benefits not to mention the lifetime wish fulfilments the Collins Foundation accomplished can not be overlooked. I truly wish that after a serious look at maintenance & safety procedures that the FAA re-instates the Collins Foundations permissions to continue its "Wings of Freedom" tour for all those who have not yet had the thrill of flying in these beautiful planes of history, & for those of us who had & would like to again. Their work Is too important not to continue.
