AAS formerly AAA gone permanently?

All Aircraft Simulations which was formerly, quite some time back, All Aircraft Arcade may be gone permanently? For almost a month now I have been getting an Unable to connect error message about the site not being found.

Since Deutchmark passed away in May of this year I have been wondering if AAS might just disappear like so many other formerly well trafficked IL-2 sites.

I was hoping that the person who was managing the site since Deutchmark's passing might keep the site online longer than just a few months but they were pretty hands off once they made the announcement of his passing. I did a whois search and it seems the site registration was not renewed in June either.  The site traffic for the past few years had been practically nil but it is still sad day for me to see it go away. Lots of memories floating around in my mind regarding that place right now.

Hi @wheelsup_cavu, I'm really sorry to hear about Deutschmark's passing.

Even though I haven't been in the IL-2 1946 game for a very long time, its hard to see our greater community shrink one year at a time.

Too true.

I know it is far from complete but as I learn of one of our tribe passing away I update my Member in Perpetuity thread at M4T.

I just noticed that I had not included Beebop so I will need to rectify that oversight.

I'm so glad that you have a Member In Perpetuity rank.  That's a really nice way of pay respect to those that have passed.

I forgot to add that there is a Member in perpetuity group also.

After you click the link you have to choose the Member in Perpetuity group to view its members and the description for the group.  Main reason was to make it easier for me to keep track of who we have given the forum rank.

It's a shame but AAS has been schizophrenic lately. One week it is online and then the next time I check, like just now, I get a timeout error.

The connection has timed out

The server at allaircraftsimulations.com is taking too long to respond.

    The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
    If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
    If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the web.

I have been getting the timeout error for the past couple of weeks.

The situation seems to have gotten worse for All Aircraft Simulations. It is not just timing out for me but the site is not able to be found at all now.

Unfortunately I never did find out the contact information for who was going to keep the site online after Deutschmark passed. With the site not being found now it leads me to believe that since a little over a year has passed since Deutschmark left us that they have moved on too.

Thanks for keeping us posted about All Aircraft Simulations.

It's sad to hear, but understandable.  After Deutschmark's death, the logistics to keep things running may have just been too much.
