A question about wounded in action. If I got wounded but landed back or parachuted in friendly territory, would that count as a death still? Also, if WIA occurs, is there recuperation period getting factored in when I rejoin the rank?

I know in regular dgen, you won't rejoin the ranks immediately. I remember one time I got wounded during New Guinea campaign and when I returned it was 1945 in Kyoshu campaign. But I didn't get purple heart.

This is getting more and more frequent, but I'm not sure if I remember if I put code in DCG to skip days if wounded. I know AI pilots don't miss combat for wounds, but I forget for the player. :)

Next time I work on the code, I'll see what's there.

I will necro this old thread and ask. Was the pilot's injury and treatment implemented? Or is there a way to simulate it and skip a few days/weeks of the campaign? Or simulate vacacion?

Btw thanks for DCG. I have great time.

That's a good question.  I don't remember, but I'm guessing no.  You could simulate it by skipping a few days, which you could do while on the debrief screen.  While on that screen, tab out of the game and run DCG, go to the General Campaign Settings and change the "Time Passage" to "Fast".  Tab back into the game and generate the next mission.  It'll skip a few days.

Just remember before the next mission generates to set the "Time Passage" back to "Normal".  (Or whatever setting you like to use.)

Oh Cool! didn't know about that workaround.
