keysersoze Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 First of all, thanks to Lowengrin for his excellent DCG. It really revolutionizes Il-2 gameplay. I've been having a bit of trouble with a USAAF New Guinea campaign. It seems that no matter what rank I select for the player (from Flight Officer to Colonel), I'm never allowed to lead a flight once the mission loads. The briefing screen will sometimes designate me a flight leader if I select a high enough rank, but, upon loading the mission, I'm in a different position, usually aircraft #14, it seems. If I select Colonel, I'm given aircraft #2 and fly as wingman to the squadron leader (a Major!). I tried giving myself more mission experience, but that didn't seem to help. I'm sure I'm making some boneheaded mistake. Does anyone have any solutions? Thanks. Quote
Lowengrin Posted February 24, 2014 Report Posted February 24, 2014 Mission experience should only impact the order if you are the same rank as another pilot. Can I ask what your squadron settings are? How many flights and how many planes per flight? It may just be a bug.... Quote
