Zerfass Posted August 11, 2015 Report Posted August 11, 2015 Now Kempf got me thinking and reminded me of the Royal Guardsmen, a fairly local band, from Ocala FL. They were formed in the 60s and got famous off sounds about Peanuts (With Schulz approval! ) Well, most of their music afterward was aviation themed. Here's two. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oxzg_iM-T4E https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlmB2ypAxL4 Cheers, Zerfass J5_Hotlead 1 Quote
Klaiber Posted August 12, 2015 Report Posted August 12, 2015 I definitely remember the Royal Guardsmen, though they're slightly before my time. Was always a fan of Snoopy's Christmas: Quote
Mauler Mithel Posted August 12, 2015 Report Posted August 12, 2015 Always reminds me of the first time I listened to them with my dad. A Christmas night, tree light in the corner, and the whole family enjoying the fire. My dad opens a vinyl, and by this time my brother and myself are devoted to studying WW1 aviation. I also like their cover of "Lil Red Ridding Hood" and "Liberty Valence". Quote
J5_Hotlead Posted August 12, 2015 Report Posted August 12, 2015 Nice one! My younger cousins absolutely love "Snoopy and the Red Baron" & "The Battle of New Orleans" by them. Quote
Zerfass Posted August 12, 2015 Author Report Posted August 12, 2015 Some pretty cool history comrades. My favorite personally is if I can remember it "Do you wanna be a rock star." And "Searching for the good times." Neither are on YouTube I don't think. I can post them if you lot want. Quote
