Hi,

is it possible to create a custom Message in the Briefing?

Like Server Commands, battlefield explanation sth like that.

 

I dont want to create a new Briefing entry via the timetable for each day, as I dont really know how long a campaign runs.

 

A workaorund )maybe within the messages.dcg would be fine aswell.

In the dcg.ini file, I use the ServerInfo line. Like this:

ServerInfo=Before take-off, external view is allowed for easier taxiing.

 

The sentence "Before take-off, external view is allowed for easier taxiing." is added at the bottom of the briefing each mission.

I never try a longest sentence...

A solution to edit it campaign dependant, like in a file within the campaign folder would be more comfortable.

 

However very goog hint to edit  in the ini direclty, thx.

The dirty workaround is to substitute a variable from the messages file with your fixe message.

For instance I use Details determined by players. as this string is called in each mission (MDS Dogfight).

Instead that stock String I enter my message, which also means I can use my message side dependant.
