I seem to recall there were 2 secured sections of the forum during FiF for tactical discussions, each side having access to one or the other. Am I really that blind, or do they not exist? Sorry for this if I'm really that blind.

Classically, there were two team sections on the JG1 forums for Flanders In Flames - one for the Blue Team and one for the Red Team.  When the two teams stayed fairly consistent, and membership didn't change, they were highly effective for tactical discussions.

However, when we started mixing the two teams up, switching around squadrons and moving individual pilots, it became too clunky to update.  As a result, we moved Flanders' tactical stuff to Discord, where teams could be flipped at a click of a button.  We did lose a bit of the permanence, but I hope that we make up for it in overall flexibility.

For Tanks In Flames, we've adopted the flexible Discord solution.  We're hoping that most tactical talks can happen there, freeing up the main forums for the concreate stuff people need to refer back to.

Not sure if that make sense.

If you had suggestions on how we can improve things, definitely let me know.  Our aim is to make both Flanders and Tanks as easy and all-inclusive as possible.

Thanks Klaiber, my own opinion, and not endorsed by anyone except me, I hate Discord's text box. I find that information on Discord's text sections can get lost quickly as everything scrolls as more information is added. The information you might be looking for may or not be there, but it isn't obvious as nothing is categorized. The scrolling gets longer and longer, and that w/out titles. I will persevere, Sp00k will see to it.

Scrolls are passe.

I wish I wasn't the only one asking questions. Then again I suppose everyone is doing so on Discord.

 

Yeah, Discord isn't perfect.  I too dislike how things tend to get lost as things scroll down.  Even the pin feature isn't very helpful.  That's why all of the important information is still here.

Other people are asking questions, but mostly through direct messages. :)

Honestly, I'm glad you're posting here, as your questions are definitely ones that other people may have as well.
