  1. My 2 cents. Since it looks like we will be switching sides after each event. There would be 10 offensive targets and hence 10 defensive targets. Offensive side gets point for completion of each target Defensive side gets point for each target offensive side fails to complete. So the offensive side just doesn't do kamikaze attacked, for each 2 planes lost or 4 planes whatever number is deemed fair, they lose a point. Planning needed to complete mission and get the planes home. This could be set up and run as a test to see what is fair as far as plane lose on an off night before an official event. ******* Separate note: Would still like to see a home defense mission done at dusk to night, WWI Bliz of London.

  4. My personal observation on the poll items: Should re-run campaigns after they've been completed, this time with the teams flipped? My personal take on this would be yes definitely. A one or two week break and then just flip sides and run the same campaign again. It will present both side using both aircraft sets so we can become familiar with the aircraft and eliminate the well their plane set was better “complaintsâ€. I would think that most people that are flying have most of the aircraft so I don’t think that would be an issue. But as you pointed out if someone can’t fly because they don’t have the aircraft they can remain on their same side. It also extends the designs Butzzell and Stubby have worked on giving us 8-10 weeks of flying on a set of maps. Should we have two mission nights a week? I completely understand the reason that this was suggested, to bring in more squads or groups especially those in the European time zones. May I suggest that we modify the day vice running it on two nights\days. Might I suggest a Sunday early afternoon. 1 PM CST as an example. Looking at a typical Sunday afternoon Syndicate and New wings can see up to 60+ people flying on line at this time. So this time might be good for a lot of people as we do see a broad range of people flying at this time. I suggest this as a possible way of keeping down the administrative headaches of running 2 different times. Just a thought as I’m not the one who has to administer the missions. S! NJ
  5. Klaiber, Well stated sir!! I for one would like to continue FiFXX in January to it's natural conclusion. I also heartly support the recommended changes as proposed! Being a former Entente pilot I would love the opportunity to have squadrons switch sides and see how the others live. I look forward to all future combat in the skies, and future FiFs S! NJ
  6. Guys, Thanks for the update! All in the US have a great Thanksgiving!! See everyone on the 3rd I hope! NJ
  7. Sadness severe sadness. But needed, see you all in a week I hope! S!
  8. IMO, there are now more and more bugs appearing, while I would hate to loose momentum, I haven't updated and won't until some stuff is fixed. Waiting until Klaiber gets back to us, but not looking good so far. S!
  9. No not a big deal same for both sides, IMO
  10. RAC_Shnoze_Shmon is good at finding bugs, now if squirrels only ate bugs he could have fixed the issue. I only hope the Hal 9000 doesn't take offense and some how weaken his aircraft while he is flying it. S!
  11. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all involved in setting up FIF XVIII. Thanks to the mission builders for the “Time†it takes to build a complex mission such as FIF. Especially for including the heavies and making them air starts (2.5K would be perfect IMO). Now if the Syndicate and Wargrounds would do the same. Thanks to No.42 Squadron for hosting, the server for me was stable and presented no issues. Thanks to my fellow central pilots, even though we were outnumbered, we never gave up and continued the good fight. Special thanks to my escorts who got me to the target all but once! Finally looking forward to the next engagement! S!
