What is your Timezone? UTC-8 Pacific
Do you have a joystick or HOTAS? Yes, T.Flight 4. I'm looking into adding pedals and a better stick/throttle when budget allows.
Do you have TeamSpeak and Discord installed, as well as a working microphone? I have Discord and a mic, happy to download TeamSpeak as well if I need both.
Do you have VR, TrackIR, or a FreeTrack system for view control? I'm currently using opentrack with a webcam and it's proving to be a bit of a task to configure so I might just try setting up VR. We have a couple headsets so I'm sure I can get something going.
What sims are you currently flying? I'm on DCS learning Mig-29 and dipping my toes into the Mig-21. I'm also interested in Su-25 and Su-27. I'm also on MSFS2020 mostly flying bush planes and other small GA. I might be interested in IL-2/WW2 flying but for now I'm mostly focused in on DCS jets.
How did you hear about JG1? I did a search for DCS redfor/eastern bloc squadrons that were somewhat serious and welcoming to women and/or other less represented folks in aviation and simming. I saw several ed forum and reddit posts vouching for you all so I figured I would check out your website, and I liked what I read.
Is there anything else that you'd like us to know? Well my name is Kira (she/her). The main thing to know is that until recently, I have been mostly out of "real" simming for about 15 years due to not having a capable enough PC for the newer sims. I've been an av geek since childhood though, started with sims on Jane's F/A-18 and the early MSFSs. In the meantime, I've been playing simpler gamified flight games like War Thunder (air realistic/air sim), Ace Combat series, Ultrawings, Elite Dangerous, Kerbal Space Program etc. I'm a little bit time constrained, my partner and I just welcomed our first kiddo in October and I'm juggling my job and college classes so I'm a bit of a busy bee these days. I'm very available on the weekend though. Thanks for reading, looking forward to flying with you all. Viel Spaß! o7
