IL-2 version

Hi All,

I am trying to go back to sims and I am a bit confused. Is it OK to use Steam platform to install IL-2?

In the past, I think it mattered, as Steam was updated more slowly.

However, nowadays, I don't think it matters as much.  They're interchangeable in terms of server access, etc.  So you're not missing anything by going one or the other.

However, once you're on Steam, you're stuck on Steam.  And once you're standalone, you're standalone.  You can't mix or match.

Others might have other thoughts.

Hi Klaiber! Pretty much 10+! I was surprised to be able to log in!

I already have CloD in Steam, installed, but it does not run for some reason.

Not sure about CloD.  I think that's mostly moved over to the Blitz Edition, which is still being updated: https://store.steampowered.com/app/754530/IL2_Sturmovik_Cliffs_of_Dover_Blitz_Edition/
