I'm glad the plane survived.  That's unfortunate to have debris clutter your landing zone at any time, much worse for the only surviving flier.  

 

If I ever win the lottery I'm going after a Grumman Widgeon with retractable floats and a house on a lake.

I'm not going to lie, my son's fascination with Disney's Planes: Fire & Rescue renewed my desire to fly float planes.  The character of Dipper made me narrow down on what I would consider a personal (and nearly affordable) PBY Catalina, the Widgeon:

I own them both but have only flown the Brandenburg online for recon missions.  I love the water effects on the pilot.  In the air it's great until someone sees me, there is no running away in that plane.
