FIF Paint Scheme submission rules

Recommended Posts

The following area is for the submission of IL-2 Sturmovik: Flying Circus paint schemes, for use within the Flanders In Flames tournament.

No one is required to download any paint schemes to participate in a Flanders In Flames event.  However, the use of personal or squadron paint schemes can greatly help with in-air identification and overall esprit de corps.  As a result, their use is encouraged.

When submitting a paint scheme for inclusion within FIF, please remember our tournament rules:

Paint schemes that show incorrect national markings are known as “capture skins” within the context of the tournament.  “Capture skins” are a violation of sportsmanship, respect, and fair play. Their use within the FIF tournament is prohibited and will incur penalties.

Additionally, @Klaiber will be updating this section regularly, ensuring that only the most recent skins are represented.  All outdated skin submissions will be archived and removed.

For virtual squadrons, please have only one individual post for everyone within your group.

If you wish to have squadron or personal paint schemes visible to all participants of the event, please post your skins using the following format:

  • Current date / version of skin(s) :
  • Name of virtual squadron and/or individual :
  • Name of author (required) :
  • Squadron webpage : [ link to virtual squadron page (optional) ]
  • Skin(s) Link : [ link to paint schemes (required) ]
