Cool! Thanks for sharing; might have to give that a listen!

That was a pretty cool music video, f0x. Is the band Weezer? I like their rendition of "You Might Think". Here's another video by David Crowder & co. In this song, they use a rewired Guitar Hero controller as one of their instruments. Actually turned out pretty cool - I can't get the song out of my head lol.

My uncle served as a Navy mechanic aboard the USS Carl Vincent, working on F-14 Tomcats. Also, my grandpa served in the National Guard. Salute to all who have served. Thank you for protecting our freedom!

Congrats Blue Team! Good win for FiF XXIIb! Each time you guys showed up, we knew we were in for a real battle. It was a pleasure to have such opponents. Salute! HotleadColdfeet (JG1_Hotlead_J10 online)

Congrats Butzzell & Lee! The awards are well-earned! -
I echo Herr Quixote's sentiments. Well done...or as a certain American statesman a century ago would have put it "Bully good job!"

Wow...what were the rule violations? Just curious.

Congrats to both awardees! Well done as well to my team mates in general for a perfect 10/10 mission! -
Awesome read, Hardy! This AAR might be my favorite one yet!

JG I "Richthofen" - FIFXXIIb Session 1B (10 October 2015)

Aw... At least you could bury me with it on...if you could find my body I guess. Oh so that's what killed my engine! I had assumed it was simply the impact of two opposite forces in motion each traveling towards each other at the rate of about 70 mph. Seriously though, thank you for the compliment. I appreciated how gracious you were about it right after the event too. And as far as teamwork...yeah, hopefully better luck next time. -

Pfalz D.IIIa Pilot Looking to Fly With Group
J5_Hotlead replied to BlackFalcon's topic in JG1 Recruitment
Like Vonrd said, feel free to fill out the recruitment papers and Klaiber should get around to ya. I think I can speak for all of JG1 when I say we're always glad to have new recruits. Welcome! The Pfalz D.IIIa used to be my favorite plane in ROF prior to the patch. I might have to take her outta the mothballs and go for a spin again. I still think it is one of the coolest-looking birds in the game. -
Watch your back! (Rise of Flight multiplayer film)
J5_Hotlead replied to J5_Hotlead's topic in Public Discussion
I use NVIDIA ShadowPlay. If something happens that I wanted to record, I just hit the hotkey and it records the last 5 minutes of gameplay, including any comms chatter. Don't worry though, I'm pretty stringent on what I allow to be made public. No team secrets or overly-embarrassing chatter. I left Butzzell's "out of gas" line in, because I know he can take a joke and wouldn't be bothered by it. Sometime I should put together a blooper reel of my own greatest failures. That would be a memorable watch! -
Sounds cool! Thanks Chunko!

Watch your back! (Rise of Flight multiplayer film)

Thanks Wile E! Those short films are always fun to make. What you say makes sense. I know Kempf went looking for the 2nd N.17 but couldn't find him, so it is probable that you and your buddies got to him first. As far as not getting on the scene in time...who could blame you? I was telling everyone I was over Czim! So much for my navigation! Hey no problem man. I had no idea you were there until I looked down from the sky! I appreciated you staying to give what support you could from the tail turret. It gave me some friendly fire to drag the bandits through. And at any rate, it all turned out well: I lived to fight another day and had the additional bonus of taking one of them out of action. -
:D WAY TO GO GUYS!!!

Excellent comrade! BTW, how did we do for points?
-
As usual, excellent AAR Hardy! BTW, I tried to leave a comment a couple different times under your session 4a AAR, but it doesn't seem to be there. I'm wondering is this a blog glitch, or does it kinda function like my YouTube channel, where all comments are held for review before being made public? Just curious.

Here is the footage of my encounter with 2 N.17s last FiF. I was in a Halberstadt CL.II, returning from a successful bombing mission and the bandits snuck up behind me. NOTE: In the film, I give my location as being over Czim. In actuality it turns out I was over Pnchpckt. :/

I'd like to take a moment to salute Vonrd and any other pilots that gave their virtual lives to win us the tournament last Saturday. Knowing he was low on fuel, Vonrd chose to risk the danger anyway and successfully destroyed the last objective, gaining Red Team a total of 10 points. After doing so, he attempted to glide back home and made it to within a few scant yards of no-man's land, before he was landed and captured. While that experience had to be extremely disappointing, his sacrifice was not in vain. Thanks to him, Red Team achieved a perfect score! Salute, Vonrd, and well done! BTW, don't you guys think we could contact at least 1 of the 7 spies we dropped into their territory to get Vonrd out of the klink? Just a thought...
