Hi Butzzell, i'm 99.9% convinced that Gamecock and the rest landed in the correct airfield. We understand if you damage the plane you don't get it back but in most cases that wasn't the issue. Me personally didn't have that problem because i never saw my airfield back btw, that wreath thingy works!

I found that remark somewhat offensive Luftritter But the guy in the first picture is Iron Maidens mascotte called Eddie. Song i used was Aces High from Iron Maiden

Damned, i keep appologising I did something really stupid, i shot 1 of our own balloons. I was on my own trying to find 2 2-seaters to escort and saw a balloon that kept flaring red flares so i thought it was one of the enemy and i was in enemy territory......not! I put some rounds in it and blew it up, the moment i saw it go down i got a weird feeling i wasn't 100% sure and when i checked the stats......well....nothing. Told it to our commander (wrongway). i hope this doesn't effect the results but do know i need to get better in navigating. I will spend the rest of the day in shame and beating myself

had a similar experience yesterday like Yello.... half an hour in the game i suddenly had a gameserver disconnection, even teamspeak got all weird and i had to restart my pc, the game and TS. After that i had to wait about 40 minutes to get in the game again because the server was full. Not complaining about the full server, only a joy to see so many pilots online! But am i correct that when a disconnect happens and all was fine before (i was flying at that time) i am allowed to take a plane and fly again? Thats what i did after conformation with the leader. Once in the air after half an hour i oiled my engine and landed at the correct airfield ( i think....) waited for 5 minutes and took of again. Then got bounced by 2 Se5's and shot down and relived as a gunner for a while. If i made any mistakes then i apologise for that, but if i did then pls tell me what i did wrong so i do not make that mistake the next time. S!

thanx for the replies guys! I was on the correct TS, got that adress earlier from Hardy. So if i manage to land on my side of the lines i'm allowed to fly again, good to know. I only have the same problem as always.....being a terrible dogfighter with limited recourses like no trackir, small monitor so i'm always 1 step too late......after 4 years of ROF one would say it's about time you get one!!!! I will definatly be there next saturday, weekdays is difficult for me as my job (truckdriver) wants me to get up at 4 am and bed relatively early. Till next week! S!

Hi all, Yesterday evening i attended FIF for the first time, very pleased to fly with a lot of guys i met in the last 2 episodes of Bloody April in the air and on TS. Allthough i registerd months ago (wich i forgot ) Trupabow was nice enough to tell me FIF was on (wich i totally forgot ) and so i made my first flight in a Dolphin. (btw i registered again, perhaps better to forget that, if i remember well i was assigned to the entente blue group) Well.....that didn't take long because i was concentrating on getting as fast as possible to my buddies waiting for me high up. Made the mistake not to look over my shoulder more frequently and got bounced by a D7, So that was my first experience with FIF......about 6 minutes . After that i got in the backseat as gunner with J2_Hornet and we managed to get the german train with our guns, no enemies in sight. But reading the rules i read that dead is dead. But allthough i was shot down in the Dolphin i could take another one. I didn't because i stick to the rules but is this correct? Then i read somewhere that the map isn't always on the same server and alhough i have the ts-adres from the no42 squad, isn't there another one? I suddenly had a "game server connection lost"......are you allowed to get back in? Not to start all over again but as a gunner? Really had a good time and especially seeing 60-70 pilots taking it serious and i'm pretty sure i will be there the next time Marc aka ST_Marx
