JG1 Videos & Screen Caps

A slew of 190s rejoining. Doesn't really do the event justice, sorry 😕

Genossen, I've decided to start this thread to share some of the Cold War aircraft videos from my YouTube favourites. Hope you'll find them both educational and entertaining. Enjoy! S! Firefly. First up - glorious cockpit cam video taken from a Marinefliegergeschwader 28 (MFG-28) "Paul Wieczorek" Su-22. Includes some formation flying, sea skimming over the Baltic and target practice. This was taken mere months before the LSK/LV was disbanded, its assets taken over by the Luftwaffe. Compilation video of various MiG-21 variants in East German service. Includes footage of F-13 and PF variants (the latter was called PFM in E…

Flying with Trev, this evening:

This month, JG1 officially turned 30 years old. 🥳🎉🎂 As you all know, JG1 has been actively involved in combat flight simulators since 1992...before I was even born! I joined JG1 in 2015 and can say that I found my home in the first try. JG1 is the first flight sim squadron I ever joined and, as far as I'm concerned, is the best flight sim squadron in existence. (Ok...maybe I'm a bit biased, but I feel it's true!) I appreciate the leadership of this group - past and present - who have kept us in active existence for 30 years and who have fostered a culture of levelheadedness, honor, and respect here. From day one, I've been floored not only by the professionalism of the gr…

If there are any others that would like to be added to this list, please reply below and I'll edit the first post. To quote him, "Right now videos are posted all over the place, and it's often hard to go back and find them after some time has passed." Very true. JG1 flies a lot of Rise of Flight, IL-2, DCS and even Elite Dangerous. So it would be great to see videos of those games. But it doesn't have to be limited to that! iRacing, first-person shooters, train sims, new releases, etc. All are welcome here. Just post what the video subject…

Did something a little different with my most recent video. I did not live stream it, not quite that handy yet, but I did record one of our 352nd VFG group sessions and I uploaded that recording later that night. Took just shy of 1 hour and 49 minutes to record the flight and then just a paltry 10 hours to upload it to YouTube... The video includes our TeamSpeak chatter.
