Interesting that the main vortices from the Airbus are coming from inboard, under-wing structures (edges of flaps, looks like, 'though I couldn't enlarge the picture enough to be sure). I've never seen that before. I guess winglets really do work sometimes, huh? Quote
-Hawkeye- Posted December 14, 2017 Report Posted December 14, 2017 That 3rd picture, often that was my view during my years with the FAA, working on the instrument landing systems, lighting equipment, etc. 😊 What's missing is the swirling sound that those mini tornadoes make, after the plane has passed over head.
