SiPinto
Hi, First of all, thank you for your excellent add on for IL2 it's really good and adds to the immersion a lot. I was wondering if you can swap and change campaigns within careers? So for instance, I have a good Eastern Front career for the Stuka already, however I've noticed that the DCG Stuka career starts with the Poland campaign. Will it work if I add the Poland campaign to my career? Or some of my career to the DCG one? Are they interchangeable as long as the dates don't clash? Cheers SiPinto
Fhechene
So, you have a career and you want to start another one? And you want to modify that other one before starting? OR you want to modify the career you are already playing? The first, you can do without problem. My guess for the second is that you can modify the campaign that will come later without issue, but perhaps you'll have issues because you didn't choos an airplane for that campaign when you started a career, because that campaign didn't exist. SiPinto
Thanks for the reply. This was prior to starting a career. I always create or change the stock careers, adding campaigns to stretch them out. So for instance, the stock Stuka career has a big gap between Crimea 41 and 42, a gap of several months, so I add the Moscow campaign between them which fills the gap nicely. Obviously the stock career starts in 1941 with Lvov, so my question was can I add the campaigns prior to this which are in the DCG careers, Poland, France, BoB etc to the start of my campaign and/or add parts of my career to the DCG ones? Fhechene
Yeah, sure. As long as you are using DCG SiPinto
Lowengrin
In order for them to appear in sequence, you have to add/link them to the grandcampaign.dcg file. It's a case of copying and editing similar snippets of code to do. For example, here's the snippet that links the Operation Barbarossa (Smolensk map) to Operation Typhoon (Moscow map): [Barbarossa to Typhoon] Blue Campaign=Grand_Campaign Map=Moscow Front=Vyazma_Factory_District DeHome=the_Smolensk_Road RuHome=Lesno_Gorodok DeBase=Vyazma_Airfield RuBase=Kubinka_Airfield Locale1=Vyazma_Bridge195 Locale2=Vyazma Locale3= Locale4= Locale5= Locale6= Locale7= Locale8= Locale9= Just copying this bit and changing the header can link Crimea41 to it. [Crimea41 to Typhoon] Blue Campaign=Grand_Campaign Map=Moscow Front=Vyazma_Factory_District DeHome=the_Smolensk_Road RuHome=Lesno_Gorodok DeBase=Vyazma_Airfield RuBase=Kubinka_Airfield Locale1=Vyazma_Bridge195 Locale2=Vyazma Locale3= Locale4= Locale5= Locale6= Locale7= Locale8= Locale9= Note that if the maps are shifting in favour of the Germans, they're noted as "Blue". If their shifting because the Russians won, their "Red".
