The Flanders In Flames “Winter Campaignâ€ has now come to an end! We had some outstanding air battles and engagements. And we're extremely excited to see so many people having a good time while competing in this event! Normally, at this point, I’d be talking about celebrating the conclusion, and perhaps hinting at the FIF 2018 Spring Campaign. However, I want to use this moment to talk about something more serious. A pilot on the Red Team contacted Butzzell and I, admitting that he was in possession of and had tested a hack on the FIF server during an official FIF Winter Campaign session. This pilot said that his intent was not to cheat, but to test the hack on a …

The FIF 2017 "Fall Campaign" has come to an end, and in the most epic way possible! After eight weeks of bloody air combat, the Blue Team and the Red Team have each managed to win one Phase. Thus, the Fall Campaign for Flanders In Flames 2017 ends in stalemate! While this may not sound exciting, it actually is. The two teams have done their best to gain air superiority over the fields of France. There have been exceptional feats of skill and teamwork on both sides. Aces have risen, and aces have fallen. And yet, both teams have been found to be equal. So, let us lift our glasses filled with our favorite libations and toast our virtual opponents. Salute! To…

It's been an extremely hard fought "Spring Campaign!" Both the Red and Blue flying corps have drawn blood in the skies over Laon, France. The casualties have been high. Aces have fallen. Neither Central nor Entente aircraft have emerged dominant. Just as in the trenches below, PHASE B has ended in stalemate. In the last 4 sessions of PHASE B, both the Red and Blue teams have managed to score a total of 51 points! This is extremely impressive! However, because the Red Team was able to squeak out a win in PHASE A (13 May 2017 - 3 June 2017), they have achieved a Pyrrhic victory within the entire Spring Campaign [both PHASE A and PHASE B combined]. The Blue Team…
