The FIF 2020 "Spring Campaign" has officially come to an end! Unfortunately, due to the very late start, we were only able to get one phase-of-play in before July. But what a Phase! After 4 weeks of fighting, only 2 points separate the two teams. And with no Phase B, the Blue Team has emerged victorious! Congratulations to everyone for an extremely well-fought and well-flown campaign. Both teams adapted well to the new environment that Flying Circus offered. And while there were a few technical snafus here and there, the overall experience was extremely enjoyable. Should anyone have any suggestions on how FIF can be improved, definitely let @Butzze…

The FIF 2019 "Fall Campaign" has officially come to an end! 20 years ago, in October 1999, Flanders In Flames was run for the first time, under the leadership of two JG1 pilots: Ernst von Leep and Paul Lowengrin. Since the earliest missions in Red Baron 3D, on through Rise of Flight, the goal of the Flanders In Flames Online War has always been to provide the WW1 simming community with the best possible scenario-based campaign technologically possible. As we transitions into IL-2 Sturmovik: Flying Circus - Volume I, I sincerely hope that we've come close to that objective. I look forward to spending many more years of FIF with all of you! The Flanders In …

The FIF 2019 "Spring Campaign" has officially come to an end! Now this was a campaign that I wished I could have flown in! Not only was the plane-set a really nice mix of aircraft, but the scores throughout were so very close. First Red was up, then Blue, then Red. Back and forth. Honestly, I can't help but be reminded of that famous remark by Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington, after the Battle of Waterloo - "It has been a damned nice thing - the nearest run thing you ever saw in your life." To put things in perspective, the Red Team won Phase A by only 3 points... They won Phase B by only 4... That means that a couple of objectives here and th…
