He touches it to the bottom of the aircraft and the entire pendent is covered in plastic with rubber covered grommets. If he touches the aircraft first there is no issue. The crewmen that places the pendent on the hook had to make sure it has touched the aircraft. Short answer yes as long as the load is touching the nonskid. I used to know specifically how it all worked, I was more concerned with the front end operation. 🙃
