Please delete the above post. I thought I could edit out the vulgarity but can't figure out how to do so.

Fixed, with clean link.  The original URL is below the YouTube video.

Wow! I'd like to see the crew that's hooking him up. That takes a LOT of trust in the pilot's ability. Almost seems a waste of skill on something like Christmas trees (but I'm sure that he increases the profit margin).

Not Christmas trees but something a little more expensive and some go 💥💥

My Old Squadron in this video....

That's an incredible amount of skill!

How does the ground hook-up guy prevent electrical shock from static discharge

He touches it to the bottom of the aircraft and the entire pendent is covered in plastic with rubber covered grommets.

If he touches the aircraft first there is no issue. The crewmen that places the pendent on the hook had to make sure it has touched the aircraft.

Is the pole he's using to hook-up grounded?

Short answer yes as long as the load is touching the nonskid.

I used to know specifically how it all worked, I was more concerned with the front end operation. 🙃

This is terrible. It uses the Martin Baker MK16 seat. It's initiated by the loop handle between the legs. I think it requires a fairly hefty pull to fire it but maybe something got tangled in it and he didn't realize it was the ejection handle and he gave it a tug? @Flyboy, what's your experience with the T-38 seat? It's not exactly the same (Martin Baker US16T) but similar in using the same seat loop to initiate ejection.

Another scary vid:

My FO showed me this last night. Pretty scary and very similar setup on our airplane. The ramp can be a dangerous place and you have to be very careful.
