  4. My Daughter #2 is in town this Tuesday, so I will not be able to fly....but I think the WW's will be showing up on your TS at 6pm pacific for another round. (VonRd posted on our site with your skins as well, hopefully folks will have those loaded so we can see how handsome you'all look in person.)
  5. All I would comment is back in the day I flew A2A’s Battle of Britain single player and I remember when they posted updates they kept posting manuever additions to their AI programming, The Ai was tremendously challenging and would vary thru the fight (take you low, take you high, run you around like a frikken yo yo ). Just has never been a focus area of this flight sim, seems like they assume the resl market is pvp. We fly a lot of multiplayer coops, and the quality of the Ai is key to the fun.
  6. Thanks Gen.....an amazing bit of work there for Coconut.
  7. We had a great time too. It was hair raising for me, have never taken off or landed in the JU 52. Took a long time on the ground to make sure I had enough things configured to get in the air and then thankfully had enough time in auto pilot to figure out where the rest of the temp controls were. Was thrilled to land and unload, and make it back ( under attack). The General and the rest made us feel very welcome and did a great job of teaching us along the way. And yes this was too much fun not to do it again. So........I could use a little more explanation of how the campaign works. Sorry for all the questions, just trying to get my head around what Coconut has done. 1. Is there a pattern? Meaning if we flew at 6pm on Tuesday, does the same mission run again in one week, with the war state changing based on this weeks results? 2. Does that mean Coconut actually edits the mission every week for every timeslot for every day it runs ( can't be so!), or is it some how automated? 3. When the mission was over it rolled into another mission, so does it actually run from 5:30 to 8:30 and than another mission runs?
  8. The following images are my shot at trying to interpret the map based on Coconuts instructions.....am I getting it mostly correct? Amazing what he has done to communicate the war state using the map.
  9. We also typically fly Tuesday...start 6 pm pacific. Might try it this Tuesday if that works for you all. Do you guys have your own TS channel so we can be on the same comm? You can PM me if you like or we can share ours, We have several pretty capable bombers ( and some a little less capable ((me)).
  10. So the Wingwalkers stumbled into the Coconut COOP Campaign Server without knowing what it is. We stained the carpet, broke the furniture and than ran into some JG1 guys that seemed to know what was going on. Clearly we needed to study up to do the campaign justice. We have been reading up on it, looks really interesting. Are some JG1 folks flying regularly on it? Do you want company? The campaign is complicated enough, we might do well to join the JG1 folks and get on the same TS channel. If you are flying at certain days or times, let us know so we can coordinate our efforts. We typically fly Tues and sometimes Thursday nights. Sounds like Coconut is in the middle of relocating servers, so not sure when it will be up next, but thought I would check in.

  13. Had a last minute change on the TS due to technical difficulties.....sorry folks wingwalkers.teamspeak3.com Thank you for your patience ( and thank WWCraven for staying on top of it!).
  14. and in case I have confused anyone.....we currently do have a password on TS, but it will be removed on the day of the memorial
  15. Just to keep things interesting out TS crapped out last night....here is the revised TS address for today's memorial (no password). wingwalkers.teamspeak3.com. Thank you for your patience ( and thank WWCraven for staying on top of it!). Tom was a 20 year member of our squad who passed away in March. He will be greatly missed. If members of JG1 would like to join us for our Memorial Missing Man formation next week, here are the particulars.
  16. CHAPTER TWELVE – WILI’S LAST SORTIE http://www.thebluemaxproject.org/ch12-willis-last-sortie/ Rupp gets sent in to clean up another crash site, but this time the tragic death is close to home. Wili Klugermann and Bruno Stachel return from a successful sortie in a heavy mist. Stachel gets credited with three more kills, but Wili ends up wrapped around a factory chimney on the edge of town. Just one of those fluke accidents…..or was it? The next chapter will be June 8th.
  17. Luftritter, a late response to your response. I am glad you enjoyed the Angel / Devil themes. They showed up kind of on their own and became important to me. When I researched historical soldier's sketchbooks, humor was a big part of the art work you see. The Blue Max story line was so dark, that it was a relief to add some fun to it. I started treating it like Spy vs Spy in Mad Magazine ( if you are from the right era you will know what I am talking about). Sometimes they are very serious and really reinforce the story. You can only do so much with photos of aircraft and fake newspaper headlines. Sometimes they hit the theme of the chapter right between the eyes. The really funny part is after the first couple appearances I realized they were starting to look just like my Sister and Brother-in-law. Since then I have absolutely used them as the models for the look of them ( as you would expect my brother-in-law thinks its funny, my sister is politely tolerating them.)

  20. I know I am late late late....but we will be flying the same mission this Tuesday, but switched sides. Wingwalkers will be flying German defending Kabardinka. JG1 welcome to fly with us or against us. The server is not password protected but the TS is.....I am pretty sure I gave the wrong password to some people...VRed has the right one, but will PM those I misled. Think line between total success and complete chaos!
  21. Did revise the German Base location a bit, to spread the map further.
  22. Working on it VonRd...pulling the password off but with a seat limitation, Cranked the AAA back a little bit. Before had four and two at the close and far airbase, pushed that back to two and one. Will see how it goes....tis a journey.
  23. Had a good debrief from the JG1 flyers and will try the mission again with a few adjustments to avoid this weeks issues Start time 6:00 Pacific Yes Password Icons Off WW's fly Russina Change Log 1. Changed time of day to high noon 2. Two airfields on each side, same plane sets 3. Added heavy AAA to Russian / German Airfield #1's, lighter at Airfield #2's
  24. I found this Scramble by Vanderstock that looked pretty intense. We fly Russian and need to defend Kabardinka from a multipronged invasion. Only changes I made was adding a closer German base that opens up 30 minutes into the mission. Welcome to fly with us or against us PS Trying to gear up to running some true COOP's in the future. Still doing some testing. We rely on stealing missions from others and a lot of focus right now on experimenting with COOPS. Vanderstock has a five mission campaign. Have to get used to restarting if someone crashes at the outset and Dead is Dead, but we enjoyed these as a squad in the old Il2 days on Hyperlobby. Usually ran a couple in a an evening so people who die a lot ( like me) don't get too bored. Will keep you posted Start time 6:15 Pacific No Password (yes password on TS, PM me or ask VR ) Icons Off WW's fly Russin Heard a bit of grumbling about flying "the same old thing" last week, so tried to find something different. A lot of people focusing on building COOP's right now, so had to dig deep to find something current, new and well made. I found this Scramble by Vanderstock that looked pretty intense. 25. Understood, I was just teasing a bit. Hmmm...tired old campaigner Architect... who stumbled into WW1 and WW2 flight sim world.... that opened the trap door into a love of Aviation Military history.... that led to repressed desire to do something artistic...that didn't involve budgets, schedules and errors and omissions insurance. (unfortunately I somehow I still managed to get myself tied to a schedule )
