  1. Salute, all I know this is a broad topic but would be interested in your input. I have two sets of Sony monitor type headphones which for a multitude of reasons aren't working for me as far as gaming goes. Mostly because they run Bluetooth on wireless and will only work plugged in on 3.5mm jack. No USB connectivity. Wires on right side for 3.5mm. Thats a big deal for me as far as plug locations and my setup. I have to use a Tack Clip Pro already on my left. I need that range of motion. Battery life isn't really acceptable for long , frequent use. So far I have looked at: Corsair Virtuoso SE- It will run in 2,4 ghz wireless or USB. Adjustable mic so im not exhaling into mic. Removeable. Plugs left. EPOS H6PRO EPOS/Sennheiser PC38x- This seems fairly popular and thought someone might have these. I'm down right now so I might as well take the time to address my personal comms nightmare. Back in the seat soon. Thanks, rustpuppet
  2. I suppose for the next year video cards will still be the question. The newest cards I have are RTX 2080's. I have a Samsung 49" curved QLED at work which is quite impressive to sit at but I am not comfortable working with the curved screen. Years ago I paid a premium to get a flatter CRT, now they're bending the screen back at me. But for a lot of people with a newer video card it could be a nice setup. Lots of screen real estate. Not sure about TrackIR on it. As you said they've have developed that idea and 4k LED monitors in general to the functional limit. Until they make 8k video cards. With that in mind it's advisable to get HDMI 2.1 for the increased bandwidth in the future. The only change I've noticed with the dual flat screen paradigm is the current trend to turn a second monitor vertically like a 1973 Xerox Alto. Re-arranging the furniture. Still dual flat screens. I purchase monitors at work and lately the MSI Creator monitors have a good price/performance balance. Very good color accuracy.
  3. Has anyone had any experience with WinWing since this last post?
  4. I was in J37 for a while. From what a remember we used to tag along with LE and RAF a lot in tournaments and wars. The logistics of it all was pretty new. But when everything was up and running it was really engaging.
  5. What is your Time zone? UTC-5:00 (EST) Do you have a joystick or HOTAS? basic Thrustmaster 1600M Do you have TeamSpeak and Discord installed, as well as a working microphone? Yes Do you have VR, TrackIR, or a FreeTrack system for view control? TrackIR on order What sims are you currently flying? IL-2 BoS, Flying Circus How did you hear about JG1? Flew with JG1 a lot in Red Baron, long ago. Is there anything else that you'd like us to know? Haven't really attempted serious flying since my Red Baron days. With working from home, IL-2 and Flying Circus are pulling me back in.
