idefix44
Hi Sir, MDS features are back in Dogfight Mode. Great. Now, to be able to check the behavior of the garrison value, is't possible to know exactly which killed objects decrease the value, and by who/which this objects need to be killed and how much points are lost? What about the objects coming with the Active Front option? Etc... It was an old bug. I guess that we need to be sure that all works like YOU WANT Thanks. Lowengrin
There's no easy way to subtract troops from the active front - it will take some new code to calculate. I'm giving it some thought but I'm not sure it's worth the effort. I can add some text in the DCG log file if you really want to know which objects resulted in which locations losing troops...but the value is "-9". Nephris
Hi Paul, just checked out your latest version and the new introduced troopcount. I guess I am off the pipe, but I cant follow the process Below are the entries of the dcg.error. I suppose each entry is corresponding for each unit subtracing troop counts at the refering location? Or how do I have to understand the multiple entries at the same location? [2014.11.24 18:30:03.419] Tagino_Airfield lost 1 Allied troops. [2014.11.24 18:30:03.419] Tagino_Airfield lost 11 Allied troops. [2014.11.24 18:30:03.419] Tagino_Airfield lost 8 Allied troops. [2014.11.24 18:30:03.419] Tagino_Airfield lost 9 Allied troops. Lowengrin
Each loss is either from one static unit being destroyed (9 losses may be these) or from each tank/vehicle in a column doing some random amount of damage depending on the type of tank/vehicle. Riksen
I have a problem Lowengrin... I'm using the latest version of DCG software in dogfight mode to create my own custom campaign. I tested the campaign with a timetable I created to add squads and events to the campaign and all worked fine. I then decided to introduce some briefings in the time table using the NewsBrief Command and then things started to go crazy. DCG no longer reads the timetable and creates missions completely ignoring the events in it. Is there any character restriction on these?
Riksen
After some testing I was able to find the source of the problem. It seems to be in these lines here: 19440605 NewsBrief English Allied = \n\nBriefing: \n\nAfter a year of numerous reconnaissance missions and bombardment of several strategic targets in Europe, the SHAEF has finally given the order for Operation Overlord.\n\nI know we all have been anxiously waiting for this day and most of you cannot wait to take it back to the Huns but, due to the persistence of this nasty weather, the whole thing is going to be delayed until tomorrow.\n\nDespite of that, however, the Allied Supreme Command has requested the RAF, RCAF, and USAF air forces to patrol and ensure aerial superiority over the Normandy beaches (Utah [AI-13], Omaha [AJ-12], Gold [AL-12], Juno and Gold [AM-12]), which not only will be the site for the landings tomorrow, but also the site of a large paradrop operation tonight to secure the Orne river (Pegasus) bridges on the eastern flank and north of Carentan on the western flank. 19440605 NewsBrief English Allied = \n\nMisison Objectives:\n\n- Fighters: Patrol the French coast over Normandy and maintain, at all costs, air superiority;\n- Recon Planes: Reconnaissance over Normandy to identify possible enemy defences that may oppose the landings;\n- Ground Attack Planes: Destroy identified enemy emplacements as well as radar stations over Normandy.\n\nReports from the Front:\n\n If I remove them the generation of the mission with its time table works fine ... Maybe the brackets ([]) are causing the problem?
Riksen
Sorry for the previous posts Lo, Removing the brackets solved the issue and now the timetable.dcg is working just fine again for my campaign.
Lowengrin
Yes, (sorry for my slow response), the square brackets aren't allowed.

Blade
Hey, I think i found a bug with US Carriers in 3.48. There are not recognised as airfields and, in the Midway Campaign for example, every US Squadron were based at Midway Airfield and i couldnt transfer them back to a carrier. The Japanese Carriers are working fine and on 3.47 everything worked fine. Oh, and btw... you forgot the Re.2002
Lowengrin
You're right, there's a bug in the assignment of USN fighters to carriers. And I'll see about the Re.2002. Thanks!
idefix44
When DCG uses the summer and winter versions of a map, when does it change it?
Lowengrin
If I remember correctly, it changes at the beginning of December and the beginning of March.
