Even if you don't do any mission editing, I thought this could be a place to help with ideas.

After my Yom Kippur mission I have a couple project ideas I welcome input:

1. WW2.

I am thinking about how I can implement what I learned from doing Yom Kippur into a WW2 map. There are challenges because there is only limited ground attack you can do in the limited plane set, but I could do a strictly air war (with points for airplanes shot down) but that might be more of an "Air Quake" style. I also thought of being able to use the radio F10 menu to activate, say, a bomber squad to take off and rendezvous with you for an air raid/escort mission. The channel map is often neglected but might be more realistic if we tried doing some kind of Battle of Britain scenario with Germans escorting bombers to England?

2. Turkish invasion of Cyprus.

I thought this would be an interesting use of the Syrian map. The area would be limited and could provide some good action and in the early cold time period (1974), but the plane set doesn't really match what we have in DCS. I could do a fictional plane set (like what I did in Yom Kippur II) but could use ideas on what that should be. Should the Greeks or Turks even have Migs? We could always come up with some kind of fiction.....

3. A more limited air combat "Air Quake" style jet match with points.

I think a simple "Air Quake" would get the most participation, especially for a first event offering. No extensive rules to read, just show up and "Fight's On".

BTW I like your idea idea for a thread like this!
