Britchot Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 Wow, the only thing I've got an edge on is RAM and a little on the Quadcore CPU. I think I'll hold what I have for a little bit then possible upgrade to a 2mb video card before getting a new MoBo. Quote

Well, after checking, here is what I have: Windows Vista (SP2) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz Radeon ATI HD5870 RAM: 8Gb So I was right. I just barely make it. I'm still going to pre-order, but it looks like I'll have the settings turned so far down that it might look like Minecraft. Quote

Britchot Posted August 12, 2013 Report Posted August 12, 2013 thats cause they are using the same engine. I've mentioned that elsewhere, previously. My main concern is how the RoF engine will hold up with the added ground objects and their details. They are certainly adding several bells and whistles to the ground items and that is definitely going to increase the load on that engine. I'm just hoping it stays below the optimum levels so we don't wind up with another CloD. Quote
Barton Posted August 12, 2013 Report Posted August 12, 2013 Some of the videos I've watched look promising. But then again there is a difference between a dev test on a likely top end machine and running something like Ghost Skies with 100 moving columns on mostly average PCs. Quote

But I would be nice to get more ground support. Quote
