Hi All,

Welcome to the International Flanders In Flames Online War!

If you have not already signed up in the past, and are a new pilot to FIF, please post below with the following information:

  • Your In-Game Name:
  • [if applicable] Your Squadron affiliation (with squadron website if possible):
  • Your preferred side (Central, Entente or Don't Care):
  • Your timezone:

Your post within this thread is very important, as it lets us know who to give forum access to.

After posting within this thread, please be patient.

It may take up to 24 hours before your request to join a group has been approved.

Please note: the two teams in FIF are not affiliated with either in-game side!  After a campaign phase, they will swap sides, allowing everyone to fly all aircraft.

If you don't get assigned to your preferred side the first time, you'll eventually be rotated to it (usually within 2 weeks).

Thanks and Salut!

Hi Klai,

Been awhile since I have posted, but since I retired in August, I now have time to get back into flight sims.  Am interested in ROF, but deleted the game from my computer.  I have a bunch of things to get caught up on, but when do you have group meetings for ROF?  Where is the game for downloads?  The last time I had the game, I could never find an enemy AC to engage.  I would need a lot of practice to fly these things.  Are there any manuals that say what equipment I should have and recommended planes for the Central Powers.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi Heide,

Great to hear from you!

You're signed up to the Red Team, with the rest of JG1.

Regarding setting up ROF, you can download a free copy of the game here:

https://riseofflight.com/download/

Once you add your username and password, it should automatically give you access to all of the aircraft you've purchased.

The stock game will give you the Nieuport 17 for free, which you'll need for the event.  But you'll need to get access to the Fokker E.III, Halberstadt D.II, Nieuport 11 and D.H.2.

If you need any assistance, post in the JG1 area of the boards.

Talk soon.

S!

My ingame name is J5_Bock and I fly with Jasta 5 and would like to fly with them.  I live in the U.S. Eastern time zone (GMT+5).  Looking forward to participating in FIF!

Hello,

I am very interested in FiF, and would love to take part. I am a member of Air Combat Group, and we normally fly WWII birds, but there is a small portion of us who enjoy Rise of Flight on the side.

Our Group's site:

http://www.aircombatgroup.co.uk

I am registered as J7_Shadepiece. I was holding (on a longish break currently) a Friday night coop campaign for some of the guys in my group flying as Jasta 7. I believe some of them will be interested in this event as well, and I hope I can bring a few over to join with me. We prefer Central generally, but are also open to Entente aircraft.

I am currently out of town, and probably won't be able to make it for this weekend and possibly the next however, I sure would love to take the time to get registered, and see if I can convince any of my fellow RoF mates to join in as well.

I am in MST, but many of us are in the states across various timezones, and we also have a few Europeans as well. I will ensure I have them post in this thread, or at least will post for them if that is acceptable.

Cheers!

Hi Shadepiece,

Welcome!  You've been assigned to the Red Team.  As Air Combat Group pilots register, they'll be assigned to the Red Team as well.

When you log in again to the boards, you should see the private Red Team area. The Red Team meets about 30 to 15 minutes before mission start on the JG1 TeamSpeak server.

Mission times, as well as tournament rules, are posted here: http://forum.jg1.org/forum/73-fif-tournament-information/

The JG1 TS information is posted within the Red Team area.  Make sure to grab that, as the server password is only given out through TeamSpeak before mission start.

Also, both teams switch sides periodically throughout the event.  So you'll have the chance to fly for both the Central side and the Entente side. :)

Should you have any questions, just let me know!

These ACG gents did not join us today, but they're most welcome next Saturday, and every session there after.

If there is anything we can do to clarify what the sessions will be like, please let us know.  Even if things seem confusing, please do not hesitate to show up on the JG1 TS channel at game time, and we'll give you an assignment that you're comfortable with.  After one session, you'll feel right at home, I hope!

When I saw ACG's grand tour of London, flying Tiger Moths, I knew that some of you surely flew RoF.

Hi Tally,

You're still signed up to the Blue Team.  Currently, they meet on Jasta 5's TeamSpeak.  You should still have access to the Blue Team area of the boards, where that information is kept.

Let me know if you have any problems at all.

Mission start is 2PM EST.  Though, I'd jump on a bit earlier to ensure you get the server password and an assignment.

Looking forward to flying with you again!

Would like to join a serious game. Though I may just be fodder. I don't expect this to happen quickly. The game is active and it is just me and google surfing your forum.
