not working properly, no new mission generated

new 'clean' install of IL2 1946 12.2.m with 'SAS Modact' , installed 3.49 to a new folder, not in the game's folder

setup game location, dcg location, game version, replace DGen NOT chosen, Auto Generation NOT chosen, Save copy of mission enabled
 

click on 'new campaign', select RAAF Singapore2,

 

go to game, choose DCG Singapore2, dont click 'Start'



 "generate' mission, mission is made



return to game, click start, campaign loads, mission loads, run mission



All good so far, but this is when it goes pear shaped! complete mission, it goes to that boring 'kills' page, so I select "Apply" and the game drops out to the desktop (but still running)!. when you go back to the game, it's the same bloody mission! no new mission is generated!

what is wrong? why isnt it generating  new mission?

And on a side note, and this is a biggy for me, why dont I have the detailed mission debrief anymore, I used to get a map with everything that happened 'tracked' and a complete detailed description of everything that was killed or defeated etc, how do I get that back? all I have is the boring 'kills' page

also, I did select 'Auto Generation' after generating the first mission. and, even though I have "Save copy of mission" checked, it is NOT saving a copy of the mission, only the dgcmission.mis file is made

What does your error file says after ending a mission? How about after creating a new mission?

 

Furthermore, why do you have your campaign created in your main Il-2 folder? Experience tells me that your custom campaigns must be in the DCG folder.

Have you tried placing your custom campaign folder in the DCG folder?

it's not a custom campaign, it's one of the standard DCG campaigns that is installed with DCG, "Singapore2"

But why is it in its own folder, outside data and masters?

You should set auto-generation on BEFORE generating the first mission and then go generate the first mission as if you were playing a regular campaign from the game.  Don't generate the campaign in DCG.
