slippery_jim got a reaction from wheelsup_cavu in timetable commandsIve got a really good working custom new guinea 42 campaign, with extra locations such as the airfield and airstrip on Goodenough Island actually being used by DCG! Much more interesting than continually operating out of Schwimmer! However, I digress. What is going on is the campaign seems to stall into a stalemate with the same types of missions repeating over and over, with no ground forces actually occupying any new territory. So, my fix for the stalemate is the timetable file, and I have discovered the TCapture feature and it works great for artificially advancing the war. Now my question is, is there a list of all the commands and the format of the command accepted for the timetable feature anywhere? Up to now I have just been copying what is in the excellent Solomons section of Paul's timetable file, but Im sure there are more commands?

slippery_jim got a reaction from wheelsup_cavu in Japanese unit re-labelled unknown and Russian?I'm running a customised new guinea 42 campaign in 4.12.2m with CUP (BAT WAW selected), added new unit and assigned an aircraft in the Squadron Editor, the Unit is listed as IJA_F_S_9z00, and when the mission is generated, the game thinks that unit is Allied but 'unknown' and the markings are Russian!
Here's what is selected in DCG

is there a problem with 4.12.2m and IJA_F_S_9z or is the problem with DCG?
For the record it is not a problem if I choose IJA_F_C_50z instead

slippery_jim got a reaction from wheelsup_cavu in Adding a CarrierI know this is an extremely old post, but Id thought Id let you know the domain above has been taken over by a Japanese porn site

slippery_jim got a reaction from Fhechene in trouble generating a campaign with DCG (always the same mission, no passage of time)doing this also fixed strange behavior with BAT. Im running BAT 4 (Red Core) and DCG 3.49 and even with DGEN for BAT loaded it would behave very strangely. One particular bug kept repeating. What would happen was it would generate the first mission fine, but the second mission all the ground units and 'chiefs' would be missing, even the artillery! Selecting "Replace Career Generator (DGen)" from the DCG Menu "Mode" and click "Yes". Close DCG. fixed it!

slippery_jim reacted to Lowengrin in campaign ground unit limitsMost of the campaigns are over 10 years old when computers hadn't as much computing power. Now, I'm sure they could handle many more objects. But even with more objects, the campaigns would have to be redesigned with more road routes (and maybe off road routes), otherwise the columns and ships would just bunch up.
The Matildas are deliberately in the New Guinea file so that the Japanese will eventually lose the campaign (unless their dive bombers can keep taking them out).

slippery_jim reacted to Lowengrin in how do I add a new target locationAs Nephris said, if you put juicy targets at the location, DCG will target it.

slippery_jim reacted to Lowengrin in Solomon (DCG) CampaignI was tinkering with the idea of creating a campaign for the Solomon map, but then I found the one that Lonestar67 had done a few years back. So I took it for a spin last night and promptly got killed. But what I saw looked good so I thought I'd give it a shout out here.

slippery_jim reacted to Lowengrin in custom folder campaign wont startI found some issues. Firstly, your missing an underscore in the .rds file (Cape_York_Invasion...).
Second, you haven't enough waypoints between locations in both your .rds and .srd files. You need at least 8 waypoints for each route. For example, this one only has two:
[Cape_York_Invasion_Beach to Cape_York_Invasion_Beachhead]
87133.79 55235.73 120.00 0 2 2.6388890743255615
86471.82 56152.94 120.00
Finally, if you've modified the class and payload files, you'll also need to update the allpayloads file as well.
I'm not sure that's all the issues with your files, but those are the things I've noticed at a glance.
