That explains it, felt bad smoking the engine, really dumb on my part just glad I survived and able to get a couple kills and 100% again...

Yes sir Reverb2 and I'm recording using OBS from the monitor image, at 1920x1080 at 30fps (OBS some times de-syncs if I record at a high res). I then use my processing software (VideoPad) to upscale to 2K to keep file size reasonable.

One question and one comment. 
The graphics of your recordings look really good.  I'm under the impression you are doing these videos using VR and that you are using the Reverb2.  Are these being recorded through the VR headset or the mirror monitor image? I'm curious because I'm using the Valve Index, holding out for the Index2 but the image looks really good.
Any mission finished over friendly territory will be 100%.  Any mission finished over enemy territory will be 50%. You are then given the option to fly it again or skip it.
For example re flying until 100%
Mission 10 50%
Mission 10 50%
Mission 10 50%
Mission 10 !00%
Mission 11 100%
if skipped it would be
Mission 10 50%
Mission 11 100%

I loved playing B-17 Flying Fortress: The Mighty 8th.  This brings back memories.

If only they could update the external graphics. I'd forgotten how low poly everything was. I just can't go back...

Just got this one, well recommended by the jacket reviews and it has not disappointed. A good easy read, I can really use that right now.
 
 

I've read all of his WWII books. Well researched and reads more like a novel than straight history. Putting it on my list.
 
Edit: He does have his opinions which could be perceived as bias (but I happen to agree with him so it's not an issue 😉).

Empire: Total War and Napoleon: Total War were really great games.
I still play them every once in a while when I need a fix.

There have been 5 Developer Diaries and one mini DD posted on the Combat Pilot Discord channel since I last posted in this thread.
Developer Diary 01 dropped on July 25th, Developer Diary dropped on August 28th, Developer Diary-03 dropped on November 02nd, Developer Diary-04 dropped on November 30th and Developer Diary-05 dropped on December 27rh, 2023. The mini DD's were posted earlier today on January 20, 2024.
                              DD 05 will be the last one for this year.

Gentlemen I had the rare opportunity to visit the Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre while on vacation in New Zealand
New Zealand has lost to see but his was a really unexpected highlight.
The WW1 exhibition is exceptional. It's the personal collection of film director Sir Peter Jackson.

This mission also frustrated me.  I cheated and sent my flight home then followed them. 
At some point during the campaign I realized the briefings are true heading not magnetic.  I have no idea about ATC.
I have since then been using old school dead reckoning on the F10 map. Left click and drag for distance and heading which will include true and magnetic.
 The other Reflected Campaigns seem to use magnetic but I still use the map for reassurance.
