Salute all! The 3 Ring Circus flew again - this time all 3 of us caught the tail-end of the action on Cuban's server! As 29 Squadron of the RFC, we attempted to carry out our mission to destroy the enemy artillery batteries. For being 14 and 15 years old respectively, they did an excellent job as a Bristol pilot and gunner. Perhaps we have another Bender/Darling duo in its infancy here! I was especially proud of the way they handled their navigation, situation reports over comms, and attack runs. Well done! We may break on December 24th, for Christmas Eve, but we hope to be flying again after the New Year. We will keep you posted!

Salute all! Had a blast flying tonight on Cuban's server! Super-low cloud cover made navigation quite interesting to say the least lol! Thanks for keeping things fresh Cuban! In previous streams, like my ARMA III and BF 1 streams, I had the camera view me. Feel free to let me know what you guys prefer!

Hey guys! I did another ARMA III stream this evening. This time I tried out putting a webcam in the video so you can actually see me while the mission progresses. I'm currently debating whether or not to keep it. The pros are that you can see my facial expressions etc. while the stream is going. I could also configure it so that it only shows my joystick and throttle while flight simming so viewers can see what I'm doing with my hands in dogfights, for instance. The cons are...I'm not sure how comfortable I am broadcasting my face all over the internet! Also, as some have noticed, it may detract from immersion in the stream. What are your thoughts, guys? Salute guys! The 3 Ring Circus flew again today! Unfortunately, Flea's joystick was out of commission today, so it was just Cloaked Careful and myself. (I think it might be time for new joysticks for the young'uns...every other time someone's having issues. ) NFF was actually not very active, so we made a momentous decision: Let's try Cuban's Syndicate server!!! This was Cloaked Careful's first time EVER flying on full-real settings, so it was an interesting experience for us both. We got into a few fights, and then capped it all off with a 1 v 1 training dogfight between ourselves. Educational as well as entertaining! Lol! Shoulda guessed. So...when I was dropping all my extra ordinance, I was bathing the countryside in beir! What a waste...oh well, at least the locals love me now! Random farmer to his wife: "I'm telling you, my wish came true - it was raining bier from the heavens! That's why I smell like a distillery - honest!"

Salute all! I see that this Thursday is Thanksgiving in the US. Do we maybe want to consider moving this week's fly-in to Friday? EDIT: I talked with US103_Hunter, and we've decided to keep it on Thursday. Just would be easier that way.

I had a lot of fun this evening on Liberator's "Race Against Death" event. Thanks for hosting it Lib! Here is the archived Twitch stream: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/203037935 Might be a bit tedious to watch for some, as I had to crash several times before I even reached the airfield! If you want to skip to the really dicey part, skip to the end at about 1 hour and 44 mins. Attempting to land in 15 meter/second wind, with snow, in near-IFR conditions. One of the most tense experiences in my ROF career!

I haven’t listened all the way through yet, but I found parts specific to FC to be very interesting. Namely, at the beginning of the video and at approx 1 hr 44 mins into the video. Jason said that his hope is to eventually run out of planes to port over from ROF and to eventually make some new ones. Also, he plans to implement in ROF’s existing flight models to FC rather than try to adjust their WW2 flight models or create entirely new ones. Namely, the FC planes should feel like they do now. I can’t complain about that! There’s something really attractive about firing up a brand new flight sim, settling into a gorgeously new (yet still quite familiar) cockpit, and feeling right at home. I think it’s a very real possibility for FM tweaks to come down the line with FC, but I think they will come once the series is established.
