Been in a "groovy" sorta mood lately, so here's what I've been playing:

Great video Barton! I agree with you. Putting the 2 franchise games (WW2 and WW1) under one roof is a great move. Before, the Il-2 franchise had only sorta held my interest; I've dipped in and out with no real consistency. Once Flying Circus 1 releases, I have the feeling I will be with the franchise to stay.

I like the sound of that! Multiple new maps (hopefully) would be really, really cool. Also more AI objects in future FiFs would be awesome! I'm sure you could do an awesome job on that, Butzzell!

J2_Trupobaw had some good insights regarding whether Flying Circus will replace ROF right away, I thought: "Not in long time. RoF will retain bigger planeset, maps and career mode for looong time. I suspect that for some time RoF will be still used by SP, especially Career Mode, and big events like FiF/BA that use bigger planeset. I also expect the casual, day to day MP to move to FC." I think he's right. For sure, at least until mid 2018, ROF will stay alive and well. Even then, people will still return to it for big events like FiF etc. By the time ROF is officially a thing of the past (was going to happen sometime anyway), I think that Flying Circus will have taken the mantle - and hopefully have grown bigger and better than ROF ever was. Who knows? We might eventually get that ever-elusive zeppelin! I also see good opportunities to add theaters of war to the Flying Circus theme: - New Channel Battles - Austro-Italian Front with Alps - Improved Eastern Front with updated S-22 (The thing needs more defensive guns!!!) - Early-war scenarios - Really odd chance...desert front with the British vs the Ottoman Empire I am very hopeful for the future now!

Thanks for sharing, Baron! I am super-excited about this! I think merging the games has the potential to really increase “ROF Flying Circus’†playerbase as some WW2 guys might jump into the WW1 faction of the game for fun. Would also make the WW1 and WW2 factions of our own squad less divided, I think. All in all - AWESOME!!!

Hey guys! Sorry I couldn’t make the fly in tonight! Real life commitments took precedence. We will be trying something new this upcoming Thursday. Rather than doing it on Wargrounds, we'll be flying on Cuban's excellent server! If you'd like a fresh experience from the standard Wargrounds maps, this might be your lucky night! (Not to bash FourSpeed or Wargrounds of course. We have had some really awesome furballs on Wargrounds! Sometimes though variety is the spice of life. )

Teamwork’s what it’s all about! It’s one of the reasons I love being in JG1. As a lone wolf pilot, there is no way you can experience the satisfaction of downing a competent enemy by working well with your wingmen. I thought we did really well in those first 2 engagements vs the Albs!

Salute all! This Thursday, 30 minutes before the fly-in night, we at JG1 invite all who are interested over to the JG1 server to stress-test our upcoming Flanders in Flames map. That way, we can ensure that we have all the bugs worked out for our official start this Saturday. We will start the stress-test at 7:30pm Central time. Following that, at 8:00pm Central approximately, we will transfer to the Wargrounds server for our usual fun and flying.

Mediator? Yes! I thought it might be affecting my FPS, so I uninstalled it, but there was no difference in my FPS, so I reinstalled it. I really like the way it sharpens the colors. Maybe that's why I have a easier time spotting?
