Later investigation shows that he was shot through the left side of his chest which is when his DR1 was seen to lurch upwards. He then had 20 secs to land before dying from such a wound, which he did. The bullet came from a Lewis gun manned by an Australian.

Yes, that is THE engine from BVRs DR1 when he was shot down by Aussies. I have stood before it in awe.

I believe that SE5a to be now in the Australian War Museum in Canberra.

Thanks to Luft for the in depth reply to key mapping, however it turned out to be much simpler by using the VKB software to map things directly to the keyboard. !S!

The white background is the snow covered land. lol As to what isnt working, I cant map fuel mixture radiator and head movements to my joystick. Anyone else having this problem? Apart from this flying is great, graphics are cool and enjoyed the DR1.

I am keen to give this a try with the squadron. Its not only CH sticks that are having issues. My MKV is proving tricky to map. I have had to invert some of the controls to get them to work. And the standard zoom doesnt seem to map the way it does in RoF. Would it be to hard t import controls from RoF to FC? So it can be played in Multiplayer. Are there any other areas that are open yet? Being knew to ILS I am not familiar with navigating around the game menu. !S!

I noticed that setting up mappings that camera zoom could not be mapped to the stick. And I had to invert settings so that the stick would work correctly. I didnt spend alot of time in there. I will have another look soon.

So I have prepurchased. I jumped in a Spad and organised the settings. Cant get some things to work. I wonder if they will set it up so we can import from RoF. As to the graphics I am a bit underwhelmed atm. Still early days and on a white background not much to see.
